They easily fund nonsense programs such as BBN, but to invest in Nigerian graduates, na problem.
Exactly

For roles like Moniepoint, don’t just say you’re interested. Read the actual role, mirror the required skills honestly, and make your CV show one thing clearly: how you handled customers, data, targets, or operations before. That specificity gets more interviews than hype.

Then you keep training them. Tech is a universal occupation. So his competition are remote companies and foreign companies. Also, I think many overlook the cost of employees transporting themselves to Lekki, Ikoyi and VI from the mainland. See the other one offering 250K for relationship managers, whereas those who fit the role requirements won't collect less than 600K.

No transport allowance whatsoever.
Has the man not heard of a staff bus?
Especially now as a lot of roads are better in Lagos. Today you can get from festac to vi in 45 minutes. 10 years ago it would be 90 minutes plus

Pardon my ignorance, but aren't there tax benefits for companies that offer transport allowances to their employees?

Impressive on the LASG for the good roads. But trains work best. Honestly, nothing beats a metro system for a state like Lagos.

After over two decades of increasing budget multiple times, Lagos has the beginnings of a metro system.

This is something that progressive UPN governor Jakande started the construction 43 years ago before Buhari cancelled it. This was after his only successful coup against democratic institutions at local, state and federal levels.

Is it not ironic that Buhari locked up Jakande for corruption while he is a bigger looter huh

socialmediaman:
The 2018 Rating by Transparency International placed Nigeria at 148th position out of 180 countries. Nigeria was improving over the years under the previous government, until Buhari got elected as president, things became worse.

There is a difference between fact and fiction. We need to face facts, Buhari is worse than GEJ when it comes to fighting corruption, at least that’s what the facts prove.

Most of us believed there was corruption under Goodluck Jonathan’s Government. I agree with those who did, there was corruption, but not as bad as it is today under Mohammadu Buhari.

In 2012, Nigeria was placed at 139th position, In 2014, Nigeria gained 3 steps and was placed at 136th position. Under Buhari, Nigeria has lost many positions down to 148th.

There’s no further proof needed that corruption has worsened under Buhari’s government compared to previous years.

Can't say. But I do know that it is way more convenient to enter a staff bus and sleep on the way home or to work than to drive in traffic.

Lagos is slowly getting there with the metro. My worry is Nigerians will find some way to Fk it up. You can see that Nigerians are being caught stealing train tracks in other parts of nigeria or you have nrc having trains run out of diesel during operations. Or an Ambode type abandoning the metro because his name is not on it

The sleep in the staff bus hits DEEP.

In 2003 my first job post nysc to get out of Festac on its own (maza maza) was 30 minutes of hell. The festac to cms was another one hour plus. Then cms to vi was 30 to 45 minutes. Broken down roads and unruly drivers everywhere.

By 2008 roads in vi had been fixed and you could drive around most or vi ok. But roads to vi - another story. November to December last year they fixed ijora to - - -

Progress is gradual because needs and issues are unlimited while budget is.

People still lament about Apapa...

Interestingly, I rarely come across the name aside from sea and customs related news. Almost no one mentions "Apapa" for rezidential, job seeking or even a place to go to unwind.

Is Apapa really that unlivable?

short lazy answer - the bastardization of planning in lagos . Apapa is a high brow residential area that has been converted to an industrial zone

same thing happened in satellite town. someone built tank farms and they were not stopped - now the whole area is a mess of tankers

roads designed for light vehicle traffic have been destroyed by tankers
imagine making it through lagos hold up and then you spend another 2 hours to enter your house because tankers have blocked the road.

I see. If care isn't taken, the same is expected to repeat itself near Dangote's refinery.
