I quoted to counter you because your emphasis was in "standing still". You didn't say anything like calculating before taking a step in your quote. A quote that befits that is "look before you leap"

There's a street saying that goes : "carry waka beta pass carry siddan" I agree with this street quote because at times in life it's better to take risk than wasting your time in one spot.
