That is the price you pay for being an expat. You think foreigners here don't jump through hoops finding their local delicacies at reasonable rates.

Frankly speaking this Isoko man is a very terrible ambassador of Nigeria and I don't know why he had to act in such a horrible way and humiliated his host for their hospitality.

As a Nigerian who lives outside Nigeria and have visited several countries, this is bad for the general image of Nigeria. To think there are several dishes on the table that can be eaten by a Nigerian such as the fish dish and the rice dish. This Isoko guy can not tell me he has never seen fish or rice in his life. Just eat the dish you can eat and leave the rest and behave yourself like a civilized person.

Even the way he tasted the dish that was meant for everyone was bad as he made it in such a way that no one else would be able to eat from that dish again.

But apart from items that are really tropical Africa, others can be substituted to a certain degree if you are good with your hands. Won't come out exactly the same but there you go.

Have a relation who managed to smuggle some okra seeds many years ago and has been running a sustainable garden ever since.

Recall eating at a Naija restaurant in Zambia - likely the palm oil was rancid - it tasted like engine oil. Could barely eat it, was almost 30k naira equivalent.

..just ask Google or chatgpt where African or Nigerians restaurant are in Germany..they will tell you

How did I know?
I am a regular visitor to Prodeco Restaurant.
If you know Prodeco very well. You will know expats eat there on a regular basis.

On my very first visit to the restaurant. While I was struggling to use the cutlery, I was amazed when I saw 2 white guys already using their bare hands to pieces the meal.
I was like what da heck is going on here.
No one told me before I followed suit.

One thing I have come to learn over time in life is that, you will have the greatest amount of peace if only you come to terms with being you. acting you, living you without thinking of what others think about you.

Why would I be angry at the silly character. I am disgusted with the Isoko man's attitude to his host who received them with dignity and did everything to make them comfortable and happy.

I don't live in Nigeria and have left Nigeria for a long time now so my mentality is no longer the same as yours. You don't know the damage this Isoko man has done just because you have never stepped your foot outside of Nigeria and known first hand how the image of Nigeria is shaped by the character of its people.

Had those nice Chinese called the Isoko man the N-word and humiliated him, he would have been crying racism all over the internet.

That Isoko man's actions is not civilised and will definitely affect how those Chinese perceive Nigerians henceforth.

IDK, man. China is a big country with a lot of different food. Even if you don't like noodles, surely you can digest some rice, greens, and stir fried or roasted chicken. Unlike much of Europe, Chinese can actually cook.

I can relate.. as a thorough bred Nigerian, it's difficult to enjjoy Chinese delicacies, even their noodles no too dey enjoyable.
However, Indian delicacies are quite cool.
