The Obidient Piety Problem

Obidients love projecting moral superiority the pure, incorruptible, different-from-them movement. No godfatherism. No stomach infrastructure. Just holiness and conviction.
Then Sarah Ibrahim drops claims of ₦2k payments for 2023 protests, and the house catches fire.
Reality check: Transactional mobilization is normal Nigerian politics APC, ADC,PDP, and others do it too.. The hypocrisy isn’t in the payments it’s in pretending your own movement is above it while attacking others for the same thing.
This is why the movement feels brittle. Too much branded piety, too little honest self-assessment. When basic political realities surface, the defense is always tribal outrage instead of reflection.
You can not claim moral exceptionalism and then get shocked when human politics shows up.
Serious opposition needs realism, not branded sainthood.
Structure beats performative piety.

I have always said that all the crowds that used to follow PO during his campaigns in Abuja for the FCT elections were hired.
My thought was validated when he did not win even a single canvellorship seat for ADC.
