Call them and let them tell us if this is a igbo party. What are they trying to achieve?

I am a Yoruba but......Una never see anything yet.

Op, the indigenes of Lagos are to be blamed because they refused to join the party for fear of Tinubu and due to their close minded nature whereby they refuse to see good in anything political being led by Southeasterner.


They did it in 2023, many of them refused to join LP saying its a dead party, its an Igbo party, its 1p0b party, etc.


Prior to 2023 election, my uncle who was an Labour Party LGA Chairman kept begging some of the few Lagos indigenes that managed to join LP to please become their ward Chairmen and even polling unit agents, they all rejected saying they dont want wahala from their people, at the end, it was mostly people from Southeast, Southsouth and NorthCentral that agreed to take up those positions in Labor Party then, now who is to be blamed?


Now do you expect the party to go to their homes to force them and give them positions just to satisfy people like you?

Your analogy cant be quite correct,my friend ran under LP for lagos LG chairmanshio as a yoruba guy without any fear of harassment.

Amuwo odofin is one of the LGs with very high igbo concentration but that isn't reason why yorubas cant be co opted into leadership roles.....the aesthetics isnt good and its already portraying the NDC as clannish and parochial.

My uncle that was a Labor Party LGA Chairman even raised the alarm that how will they defend their votes for LP if they cannot fill up the leadership positions, and also complained bitterly about Southwesterners and Lagos indigenes refusing to accept leadership positions in Labor Party.


The whole thing got him so amazed that his mentality about SWners changed because he is almost like a Yoruba man bearing Igbo name. He aligns more with Southwesterners cos he lived there for decades and made so many friends. He was shocked how they were turning down to join LP and to take up leadership position in LP, something you guys were also bragging about openly on various online platforms calling LP 1pob party, so how come u guys are now expecting to hold leadership position in a party most of you vehemently rejected the moment Peter Obi emerged its Presidential candidate? Portraying them as clannish? Those things are the most clannish in Nigeria. You don't know that whatever they accuse others of, they're actively neckdeep in same. Those that know them don't take them seriously.

Power is not served a la carte". Political influence, leadership, or authority is rarely given freely or easily; it must be fought for, earned, and taken through, according to Bola Tinubu.

Nobody is going to anyone’s house to hand over positions of power. As usual, those indigenes that could be interested are afraid of stigmatization from their fellow tribesmen. If they had indicated interest and desire for the newly formed party, they would have been given preference.

In fact, speaking about Labor Party time which I was a key part of, we did everything humanly possible to have more Southwesterners join us, in fact we prayed for it and anyone that ever came we usually celebrate him or her and begged them to take up leadership position but they always reject that they would prefer to be just member and nost times they dont attend meetings and one day we inquired, one of them, a very honest man said his people no wan hear say them join LP, that thugs could attack them, it was that bad.


We prayed to have them lead in LP but they vehemently refused for fear of being stigmatized as trying to help Southeasterners take over Lagos

Isn't the president a Yoruba man, how can he allow that?

Aren't the Yorubas warrios, who can sideline them in their own land?

Learn how to do simple deductive reasoning. It's not that hard. Are suggesting that NDC should go about forcing people to join the party or that any non-Igbo interested in joining the party is rejected?
