SeverusSnape:The thing is, you can do primary school taunting, but when you get how subsidy works, then GEJ's decision in 2012 makes sense. ANd those who were opposing it were busy talking somehow. I got how subsidy worked in 2012, when GEJ did partial removal. MY eyes opened , and I did the math, and it made for uncomfortable reading. Before then, I was subsidy must stay, government is depriving the masses, etc. After subsidy was partially removed, my mind woke up. Hell, I realized i had been supporting nansense in the name of helping the poor since my teenagehood. It is because you do not understand how subisidy works...that is why you were supporting its removal in 2012, and opposing it now. My view has not changed since 2012. It has nothing to do with who is in power, as they are all alike to me. And tinubu must go in 2027, enough is enough of we must build road leaders, we need serious leaders who will diversify our economy, and maybe make it rich enough to bring back some form of subsidy that won't drain our economy. Thought I would not say that, mr tinubu supporta? ![]() |

Gotocourt:Then you should know that that family friend of yours is one of those stealing our subsidy fund and can't maintain a proper fuel station when it's time to use Thier own fund for the business. Right now, fuel stations wey don close for years are now reopening, some under franchise, others under their own identity, fuel stations are currently the major beneficiary of the inflation in the economy, because it's whatever they buy that they are selling, even the once in remote areas now has fuel to sell |

Nextjs:in 2023, you would have paid 8m for a tanker and the federal govt would have paid the 60m balance today, you are paying for the tanker in full the price of a tanker has not changed - the party paying for the tanker is what has changed |

Counterigbolies:Same thing about tinubu. I was in Lagos after he left office. Lagos was still awful. And it is still awful up till today. Your governors and leaders are all 'I will build roads' and I will build buildings leaders. Sustainable economic growth, they do not know. Same thing with army....because it is what most nigerians want...they want leaders who will build things for them, not give them sustained economic growth...because doing that means some hard choices have to be made, which most of your leaders do not want to make. That is why I say we should vote out tinubu, vote in obi or anyone else, let them do things different, and if they do not, vote obi or whoever comes in out...till we get a leader who gives us a working economy, not free gifts. |

| Re: A Full Tanker Of Fuel Was 8m In 2023 Now It's 68m by nairalanda1(m): 2:26pm On May 10 |
Counterigbolies:That's the thing, I have no hope that Obi would do well, but I also have no hope tinubu will do well, and no, I am not leaving tinubu out of it, even if it makes you cry. What I have hope for is that Nigerians vote out failure, and if the new guys fail , we vote them out too. Maybe some day we would get people that would tell us the truth and give us a proper agenda to get from third world to first, or we keep on grumbling the same way we were grumbling as far back as the 1980's and before. But as you want free gifts... |

Go back to 2023 then. Some people loose their sense of reasoning just to please their sponsors. The Trump war has caused the increase in the price of fuel worldwide. To exercise common sense, you need to compare the prices of fuel in other countries at 2023 to what is obtainable now. Nextjs: |

OlujobaSamuel:A liter was sold for 220 on may 29 before Tinubu announced subsidy removal which shot price instantly to 520. Remember there was scarcity. Do the maths on the funds. Franchise is the new bae, I've advised them to do that but old is thinking of his business name while alive. Also expenses is another thing, they're installing solar gradually to cut cost. NMDPRA sanctions is all time high because of cut in funding by Tinubu and are looking for revenue. |

Gotocourt:Exactly what these guys failed to understand....I understand what you are talking about...When prices of goods fluctuate,it not too good for an entrepreneur...Just lost 2k litres of diesel then you will understand how volatile the economy of this country has become...When I hear ppl supporting APC government/singing on your mandate they shall stand I little wonder which mandate Exactly...Some of us aren't lazy but the policy of this government is making business very unpredictable for us..I can't even talk here. Some things are beat unsaid.... |

nairalanda1:nobody is crying about anything, Nigeria will not b run on trial n error basis If u suggest someone like sowore or any other person that hasn't been tested before I agree but it's bullshit if u bring any of the old faces If u can't bring a new person then tinubu will continue, so u want us to put someone u can't pinpoint his achievement or legacy project for good 8 years as governor of a tiny state to come n do trial n error N besides tell me d bad policies of tinubu that obi will reverse? |
