A person collecting such amount can build a comfortable bungalow within 2 year.
As a single person or as a family man or woman?

Unless village people dey follow u.... U suppose build house..... 600k per month is like 7.2m annually.... So let's say all expenses take like 3.2m annually or 3.7......you're left with 3.5m.....with consistency in savings, u can either start a business that can help u gather funds to build a house or save in 3-5 yrs to build one yourself.....
As a single person or married with children and aged parents to take care of?

It is possible with the Grace of God and cutting of ones coat according to ones size .. with the grace of God, I built my 3bedroom flat not earning upto 150k per month then .. though , it takes sometimes before I could finish it , no rushing.. I don't borrow money from anyone , no one gave me huge sum , I built it through savings of 1k,2k,5k etc as it comes daily to weekly and monthly till I finish it ... Firstly, I don't even live an extravagant life , all of my pursuit then is the house .. no reckless spending, just to save up and do the next thing till I finish it by God's grace .. I wanted to borrow 200k from Access bank within that time , them disappointed me . That was when I used all the money with me to purchased Tiles and i want the tiler to start work immediately.. I had to tell them to wait till ending or the following month , and I did it.. living at the house now .. 600k monthly will surely do it , that's if you're receiving the salary every month without delay from the company management..

Please kindly analyze a realistic plan to achieve this in the timeline you stated. Not just making statements, like real calculations to realistically achieve this in 3-5years. Using current pricing and valuation. No land available yet.
It depends on some factors.
- Where do you target to buld at?
- Do you already own a piece of land or not?
- what size of building ?

You can start by having a realistic target to own a piece of land. You can save 250k for a year and use it to buy land. It will likely be outskirts/ developing area but it is your land and people live there.

Next you decide the size of building. Again it has to be modest and then you can have a plan ro buy or mould blocks. About 1.5 - 2k blocks make
A simple 2 bedroom flat - modedt one ooo.

And about 1 bag of cement bulds 60-70 blocks.

You can calculate other costs based your modest plan but it is very doable especially if you live in a cheap state or northern Nigeria.

I can provide more details but YOU MUST BE DETERMINED TO LIVE ON ABOUT HALF OF YOUR SALARY TO ACHIEVE IT.

They repay with their salary as well na .
Or with corruption and extortion.

Was watching a traveler being extorted on a video made traveling through Nigeria. All through his trip. His extorters and their children will tell you that others are building houses on $50 per month, so if he can't he's lazy or foolish. Or claim it's a loan or that the money was invested.

We know how honest Nigerians are. They work so hard they defy financial common sense every day.

Jakarta:
If you reason the cost of building materials you will not build a house. I built my first house with a salary of #120k monthly, though it took over 4 years. But in same condition I will not try that again.

Building a house should not be the first target if you are earning below #1m monthly, and not doing a government job, not because you can't build a house with such pay. But because there are better alternatives that will give you good returns than owning a house.
You should focus more on investing in yourself (skills, business)
Oga answer the question can #600k build a house? The question is not a rocket science
Re: Can Someone Earning 600k Per Month Build A House In Nigeria by Poland2050: 5:57am On May 11
Nawa it will take all ur life to build that house as of this current situation and price increase of materials in this hopless country. You might not even complete the house even after retirement or death. That is it simple. To build house no be beans. For government worker that one na out of point. Sure ur 35years in service no go mould blocks as of now. Except you oneould block down for 35yr just for decoration.

Lol. Presently I don't care where you are you cannot do that with 200k salary with a family

Civil servants are the most corrupt set of people that divert funds meant to be paid into govt accounts, they used bureaucracy to get the money and issue receipts. With that they make alot of money before the salary drops.

Some do other jobs and just blatantly leave the civil service job unattended but collect their salary. I saw my teachers do that in secondary school. They come to class once a week to teach but for most part of the week they are teaching in other private schools while still getting paid by the govt.

Lastly, many civil servants have farms and other busineses that give them so much money, the 200k from govt is just extra plus they are just in the job because of pension for old age.

So don't come and be saying civil servants earning 200k right now can build a house. Anywhere in Nigeria presently they cannot try it except it is mud house you are referring to.

By the way how many civil servants earn up to 200k sef

All this online classism is a joke. Everyone is rich online until you advertise an 80k job or even a giveaway, then reality will dawn on you.

Less than 5% of the population have 500k in their accounts and about 2.4% earn 200k monthly.

You see why I keep laughing at Nigerian women with their unrealistic expectations and standards grin
Re: Can Someone Earning 600k Per Month Build A House In Nigeria by Flesh10: 6:24am On May 11
I am referring to civil servants in Lagos or abuja

Unless the civil servant is stealing from the govt using their usual bureaucracy and corrupt practices to divert funds meant to be paid into govt accounts to their own pockets and issue fake receipt like they normally do , they cannot

Unless they have side businesses or hustles that complement their civil service job they cannot

Even people earning less than 150 self dey build house , it depends on the location and house type by molding your blocks little by little
Getting your materials 1 by 1
You get your house pattern and start with a room first before you know it another block join , though it may take longer time but trust God you will finally get there .

Don't compete with people or live your life to impress anybody. Sew your coat according to your fabric.

If others are building duplex and you can't afford to do it, build a 3bedroom apartment for you and your family. At least you'll escape landlords with their wahala. You must not start and finish within a short time, don't allow people pressure you......Go at your own pace.

Unless you are catching cruise, it is better we take our lives seriously and don't let the exaggerations we see online everyday make us believe people are not doing well, even wonderfully around us. Some of the most lucrative businesses in Nigeria today apart from food business are building materials supply, car dealership and real estate.
