I absolutely abhor this practise of state-sponsored pilgrimage.

Even in Islam, it's said that people should only embark on pilgrimage when they can afford it. I don't understand why tax payers have to foot the bill for all these pilgrimages to Saudi Arabia and Israel, especially when the more the country prays, the worse things seem to become.

Using govt money to go to Holy sight is nonsense because all this while that Nigerians have been participating the country has not witness a change of character from Nigerians.
