TheSuperNerd:
Maduka Okoye secured his 10th Serie A Cleansheet today! Udinese beat Cagliari 2-0 away with Okoye putting up 3 good saves.

His first double figure cleansheet in a single league campaign at a Big 5 Euro League. Massive.
Some people wanted this boy to sacrifice his career just to please them. grin

I'm glad Chelle knows better, and that decision is paying off now.

Big ups nwa Nkanu!!

Piss one place make e foam.

No be player recruitment you de on before?
elyte89:
Concerning d World Cup failures, It goes beyond coaching, i can bet it with u that lessons have not been learnt; because by now if truly it has been learnt, we shld be seeing serious signs of nff engaging private sectors or govt to ensure we have 2 standard stadiums 🏟️ ready in country for the next series of qualifiers..several times the players most especially iwobi has criticised nff of not providing the best playing surface Dey re used to in Europe(bad pitches, playing under bad conditions)..it’s like we re playing “away” from home , infact in our last two World Cup qualifying campaigns shows dt we have lost/drawn more home World Cup games ;due to the issues highlighted earlier ….yet we want to qualify, how do we qualify for the World Cup when we hardly win our home games. In 2022, we almost lost to Cape Verde 🇨🇻 at home if not for ndidi defensive block around 89 mins or so, we almost missed d playoffs

We thought we av learnt from dt, yet our mumu administrators failed to spot the issues of not winning our home games effectively. We all know aw the 2026 wcq turned out .. we drew most of our home games.

I can say it authoritatively that if this issue is not addressed b4 next wcq campaign for Morocco 🇲🇦 Spain 🇪🇸 Portugal 🇵🇹 2030, we would not qualify.

You read what you're responding to at all?

Chris making it seem "sacrificing his career = being at Afcon" becomes moot because after all he was the bench while AFCON was on. Therefore his missing AFCON didn't secure his career.

Genoa's Chief of Football Diego Lopez is keeping track of full-backs.

Ryan Alebiosu is one of three candidates.

Genoa, Rangers, etc... Alebiosu has loads of suitors from Topflight leagues. At least, he would be playing topflight football in 2026/27 season, somehow.

Clinton Jephta scored again for Finnish Veikkausliiga League leaders, FC Inter Turku in their 8-0 win vs JS Hercules in Round 5 of the Finnish Soumen FA Cup.

2 goals, 1 assist in all competitions across 4 games since his move.

I think a move to Genoa which is a stable team in Serie A will be good for him

I was about to reply same thing. Elyte89 is shifting the goalposts of the discussion. Lol

The World Cup Miss still hurts so I can understand but some of us have moved on by now. I dont know about Elyte but I will enjoy the 2026 tournament devoid of envy coz Nigeria will be back.

In hindsight, I also wish Akinsanmiro had not gone to the Afcon. angry

But uhmmm... On Maduka Okoye, no be sacrifice people dey talk. It is Commitment to the GWG. I am glad Chelle still played him vs Iran and dropped an "inactive" Nwabali. It sets a standard.

Okoye is in very good form now and the June friendlies will afford him more chances to claim the #1 shirt with Nwabali still yet to get a clubside. Time will tell if he can.

If there is a way to cast 2 votes, Bankygee and Papi85 aka Charlesemeka85 take it for me.

But the rules say one and picking either of these would seem like I dont appreciate the other but please, I assure all that it is not so. Please bear with me.

This is hard but my one vote goes to Papi85 aka Charlesizio Emekano. Even though he can be very annoying sometimes. grin

Naturally, I should be biased and pick Banky but I pick Charles to send a message. I may not agree with you on certain takes like "Seriki & hausa league" or "Onyedika" grin but I still appreciate the consistent efforts you make in here even as a father of twins to update the thread.
My vote for you is almost as good as what I would give to Banky but since it is one, then fine.

NB: Lelion, Kudos again for the initiative. I am surprised you brought it back. Well done and cheers.
