Well, only if he would see gametime.

Papi85:
I think a move to Genoa which is a stable team in Serie A will be good for him

sure he will. Playing in Serie A will also improve the defensive side of his game

Another of our player I would love to play for one of Serie A big teams in Bassey.

Why not Rangers
our players don too play for rangers. As an established rb in the English championship which is at par with the Scottish top tier it won’t be much of an upgrade heading to Scotland

You read what you're responding to at all?

Chris making it seem "sacrificing his career = being at Afcon" becomes moot because after all he was the bench while AFCON was on. Therefore his missing AFCON didn't secure his career.
You don't get it do youhuh

Chris was right, I was even in support of Okoye ditching AFCON for his club career, why,

Firstly he was just returning from Ban, so he needs to bounce back

Secondly he can't achieve match fitness with training and sitting on the bench alone

Thirdly that redcard can happen, point is he was in Action before that redcard, of which he can't be if he was in AFCON

Only when a player is off form, injured or unfit, that it can be justified to ditch AFCON.

If our first choice goalkeeper sustains injury, the one that replaces him wasn't up for it or red carded, you would be forced to depend on 3rd choice goalkeeper, that probably would be crappy.

Good that their decision appeared to have paid off,but it's not what should be encouraged for the progress of the team.

I can name players who spend most of their careers sitting on super eagles bench but still regulars in their clubs.

Good that we have Chelle as a coach,Okoye excused during Afcon not acceptable .....He is Udinese numero uno, coming for Afcon would not have stopped him from being Udinese number one...the same Okoye was accused of match fixing and still remain Udinese number one

I understand sah, in this context Okoye had been out of action for months and probably off-form too, which might contribute to the red card he got,

More over we the Naija fans can be very unforgiving and unforgettable, in a scenario where he replace the first choice in a game and funblem me and you know what's going to sup sah

All same it is well

Ademola Lookman starts for ATM vs Osasuna in La Liga.

21 y/o RWB, Abdullahi Bewene played all 90mins for Banik Ostrava in their 2-1 loss away at Slovacko in the Czech Liga. Bewene and Banik are in danger of relegation.
It was his 21st league game (16th start).

Did he not end up being on the bench? The point is that missing AFCON at the end of the day didn't give that security he was looking for.

2019 Golden Eaglet Skipper, Samson Tijani, CDM with a solid midfield performance today as he helped his side Dukla Praha to a 2-1 away win at Mlada Boleslav in the Czech Liga. Played all 90mins and had the highest defensive contributions (14) in the game.
His side sits just above automatic relegation but within the relegation playoff spot.

Winger, Solomon John, 24 played the first 45mins for Boleslav.

TheSuperNerd:
If there is a way to cast 2 votes, Bankygee and Papi85 aka Charlesemeka85 take it for me.

But the rules say one and picking either of these would seem like I dont appreciate the other but please, I assure all that it is not so. Please bear with me.

This is hard but my one vote goes to Papi85 aka Charlesizio Emekano. Even though he can be very annoying sometimes. grin

Naturally, I should be biased and pick Banky but I pick Charles to send a message. I may not agree with you on certain takes like "Seriki & hausa league" or "Onyedika" grin but I still appreciate the consistent efforts you make in here even as a father of twins to update the thread.
My vote for you is almost as good as what I would give to Banky but since it is one, then fine.

NB: Lelion, Kudos again for the initiative. I am surprised you brought it back. Well done and cheers.
