When last or when at all did we ever hear of this below? One Club, 3 different National league titles across 3 countries.

🇸🇩 Sudanese club Al-Hilal have pulled off a near-impossible feat, winning league titles in THREE different countries across just two seasons.

🇸🇩 2024/25 — Sudanese Champions
🇲🇷 2024/25 — Mauritanian Champions
🇷🇼 2025/26 — Rwandan Champions

After winning the Sudanese Premier League in 2024/25, Al-Hilal were forced to relocate due to the ongoing Sudanese Civil War.

The club moved to Mauritania, competing in Ligue 1 alongside fellow Sudanese side Al Merrikh.

Despite playing outside their home nation, Al-Hilal still managed to win the league title in the very same season. However, as they are not a Mauritanian club, they were unable to qualify for the CAF Champions League through the competition.

Then, alongside Al Merrikh once again, the club relocated to Rwanda, and once again, Al-Hilal finished top of the league with games to spare.

Three league titles.
Three different countries.
Two seasons.

Gbenga Samuel Okunowo in the 1998/99 UCL for Barca vs Man Utd. He moved straight from Shooting Stars SC to Barcelona back then at age 18.

Below is him at 19 in the UCL.

Very overated player but very fortunate as a player to play for Barcelona, nothing special in his style of play, well LVG formation sometimes do favour average players.

I was going to jump and pass but I just couldn't allow this sacrilege go unchallenged.

Yeboah better than an African footballer of the year? Better than one of the highest goal scorers in AFCON?

Haba na!

If you're using club resume to judge Yekini I can then argue that Kanu and Ikpeba are better than him too based on the pedigree of clubs they played for.

AndSunGorilla:
In my opinion, Yeboah was better than Yekini, and Yekini was very very good. I can never forget his assist for Siasia against Argentina at the WC, that was some good technical play. And one fantastic move against Zaire (DRC) at the 94 AFCON where the goalie got a red card for bringing him down after an unbelievable move, he used scorpion kick to control a ball and take out the defender marking him.
Yeboah was excellent at Leeds and at Frankfurt.

Lol... from the clip shown I can even say he is partly culpable for 2 of the goals conceeded. His marking and positioning were quite questionable. Anyway, he played for Barca and not many Nigerian players can lay claim to that. Lol

My brother, it seems he is that bad and Charles always saw through the brother hence the name "Ihefu FC" grin

Me, I dont delight in tearing down players but saying honestly that he was not up to par for a GWG shirt is not untrue coz he was simply not Super Eagles material. I wish him well in next club search.

Odunayaw:
Charles wan wound us with Ihefu FC that year grin

But what happened to Tanimu. He's not so bad he can't make it at all na.

Why did they relocate? Its not as if the rwandan league will also grant the caf spot. Guess they are on a thanos phase, attempting to collect trophies everywhere they can.

Who remembers Ismaily SC of Egypt? The Club that Enyimba beat in the 2003 CAF Champions League Final to break the jinx of Naija Clubs in the CAF CL.

They were relegated yesterday from the Egyptian PL down to the 2nd tier. The 1st time it happens to them in 68 years. What a fall.
Club of Amuneke, while he was playing,

And if am correct, he once coached them too

Yeboah had it so good with Frankfurt and Leeds United.
Thank you!! Yeboah was Bundesliga top scorer twice!!! But then again @Chrisoblog on terms of longevity, Yekini is a legend and he also won titles in Africa and African MVP for which Yeboah didn't.
Also I said in my opinion, my opinion isn't a fact, at their best I woud go for Yeboah, over their career then Yekini.

Similarly, the newly-appointed Head Coach of the U17 boys, Eboboritse Uwejamomere has picked Coaches:
- Olumide Joseph Ajibolade (first assistant),
- Mohammed Kalli Kachala (second assistant) and Abdullahi Isa (goalkeepers’ trainer) to assist him in building a new Golden Eaglets’ squad that will not only return Nigeria to the FIFA U17 World Cup finals, but work assiduously towards a sixth global title.

Note: Olumide Joseph Ajibolade is Head Coach of the Beyond Limits FA, one of Nigeria's very best Football academy teams. He has coached his teams to global accolades like the Viareggio Cup Title in 2024 and the Gothia Cup title in 2025. Brilliant addition to the Golden Eaglets technical staff.
