Edakun, how do you book an appointment for France biometrics as a frequent traveler? Tls application page filled, but there are no available dates for the next few months. Is walk-in allowed for frequent travelers?
No special treatment for frequent travelers o. You will wait patiently to see date.

This is the worst period to be applying for French visa because you will wait well. You will wait to find date then you will wait like 7 weeks to get your decision. Next time plan ahead.

Did my own application in January for a trip I’m to have in June. Got passport back after 3 weeks. Also got an appointment date for 2 days after finishing the application form.

Brodally we re on Dsame boat...I also did 14th April ....I'm expectant tho..
Has any April Applicants receivED A Pickup messagehuhhuhhuh
But people are waiting 6 weeks to get their visa back. People that submitted in march waited at least 6 weeks. Don’t be expectant till you reach that 6 weeks mark.

This is peak period for applications. You won’t get anything soon

Sorry, I need a little clarification , does French consulate accepts and processes visit visa for Lithuania?
Adaeze205:
The visa was denied.
I wont consider myself a frequent flyer but i have travel history. I have traveled to France, Netherlands, Scotland and England.

Reason given for the denial was "justification for the purpose and conditions of intended stay was not provided".

The visa was to attend a one week annual KBS conference in Lithuania fully funded by the conference organizers. The same France embassy gave me a one week visa to attend the same conference last year but in a different country. They rotate the host country annually. Last year, I attended the conference and came back home. So i was wondering why the denial, this time around even when it's only one week visa i applied for.

I wrote a very detailed cover letter and provided all necessary documents about the conference, my presentation, full funding from the organizers, banks statements, introduction from my work place, leave letter from work, my home ties, flight reservation, travel insurance, hotel reservation, my one week itinerary (from hotel to conference venue) etc literally everything i felt they would need to make a positive decision.

They gave me the option to appeal. A tls staff mentioned they changed staff and advised that maybe I should apply again instead of appealing which will take long. But no need to be wasting money and time when the conference starts on June 1 and my travel date was to be 30 May.

I was shaa happy that the people they attended to before me got their visas. The smiles on their faces as they opened their passport and saw their visas made my day.

Wishing you all the best in yours.

Hello guys
Pls does a business man need to submit business acct statement for France visa
Or only personal statement with enough funds for the travel
Alongside CAC
Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by VisaZest: 12:28pm On May 18
Hello,

It is advisable he submits both as they can serve different purposes.

A business account statement shows business activity and your financial status i.e. how well your business is performing and this can serve as a strong tie to Nigeria. You are communicating "I have a good business doing well, I have no reason to run away." CAC alone cannot give a complete picture. Additionally, the business bank statement also serves as proof of where the funds in your personal statement came from.

Personal statement shows the funds available as disposable income which can be expended towards the trip you are planning.

apparently I heard that they don’t even check the email or answer calls. And that if you’re lucky it will take at least 5 days to get it back

Well to be honest, as I said before truly depends. I don't think it is because of the Netherlands. Fact is I did send them a message personally and they responded. Though, only my parents came and they got 5 yrs each. But my sister is still waiting for hers they all applied same time and day. I am just in a situation where I need my parents to be here so yeah they answered and made things faster. I doubt it is cus of the NL... I think my message just got through to them...

In addition, one thing I know for sure is that France is running out of cash and they reduced employees at the embassy. Something that was done by 4 people is being done by 1 now... It truly sucks.. But hopefully everyone hears back soon... + fact that Abuja doesn't take short term visits no more and only Lagos.. Just compounds the issue.

Yeah my wife is having surgery and I travel a lot for work so needed help here... So sometimes when it gets too tough, what I do is contact the Dutch embassy to give me a note verbale and it does help a lot to shorten waiting time... But yeah the waiting time lately is crazy....

Bro how can you say that France is running out of cash?? Statement sounds so ignorant that it leaves me to question a lot of other things you’re saying. France is a country, a whole country bro. How can they be running out of cash. I’m sure the delay is caused by something else more reasonable other than running out of cash.

Also you’re talking like you’ve been to the French embassy to see yourself that they have reduced staff. I want to believe you haven’t and like I said before, you’re just making an ignorant statement. Many reasons could contribute to the longer wait time rather than shortage of staff. For example maybe they’re now doing more extensive background checks for people.

But if you are not sure about something why come here and do like the one that knows all. You’re brain washing people. Maybe be adding ‘in my opinion’ or ‘I think’ to your statements.

This is why I usually have issue with people like you on this platform. You have zero ideas of what happens out of your zone that when someone says something that seems out of your realm they are stupid. I actually will refrain from using any curse words on you. But I will educate you a bit... Since mid last year just after their election that led to the rule of the right wing, France slashed majority of their budgets.. Why? Because their dependencies on Franco-African countries has been impeded with them getting kicked out. Maybe you follow the news recently with how Macron is trying to build new relationships with Anglo-African countries... (I am guessing most won't fall for it - but history will tell).... Now back to it - Oh before I continue I do work in Paris if that is of any help - Yes, last year France reduced the number of hours of most of its government workers... the impact of that is felt both in France and abroad at their missions... and yes, I have friends who work for the government.. I am not sure what and what you know about Greece... But the ECB (If you do not know European Central Bank) has warned France about reducing its public holidays as that could save them 5.2 billion in wages. etc etc....

I am not brainwashing anyone, I am not adding my opinion.. Please don't be a dumb***.. I do try my best not ever engage with people like you. But when you get your visa and end up in Paris or pass by the Netherlands, make sure to message me and I will take the time to educate you properly... Godspeed.

It seems NL deleted my message since I was quite brutal but to soften it up - I am not like you that go on first by asking questions instead of going head on. I do not need to say my opinion or I think.. It makes absolutely no difference because as someone who used to work for the Dutch government as a diplomat from 2019 till 2023. I do have insights into all these. I have dealt for a long time with people at the the FR embassy to know and have insights into what is going on. Even if I do not, I can always ask for insights from the Dutch embassy myself.

There is no many reasons - Staff reduction not shortage is the REASON FOR THE LONG WAITING TIME... I do not think.. I KNOW.... There is no extensive background checks whatsoever.. You are just trying to make yourself sound like a voice reasoning.. Oh man you have zero ideas.... I do not know you and you do not know me.. What you could do is ask - bro how do you know these things then maybe I can give you my history to help you think differently... You do not need to believe anything I write. Next to that - no one needs to believe what I have written... But just as I said before, just cus you have no insights doesn't mean I don't...

If you are ever in Paris or Amsterdam please send me a message, I would like to meet in person... Godspeed with your application...

Majority of countries in the world run on a deficit... Even your own country... Did they run out of moneyhuh? I will let you finish this argument by answering that in your head.. Sometimes understanding things is a lot about reading.

Something has definitely changed in the approach of the French authorities, despite 2 earlier Schengen and other top tier visas, applicant was still given just 1 month. The indicated travel period has even long gone past due to current processing delays.
