SOPWriter:Wife and kids.I know it’s possible for post graduate programs but I want to find out about Advanced diploma in a polytechnic if dependents are eligible to travel also |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by SOPWriter: 2:06pm On May 15 |
papalasun: If I understood you correctly, you have a Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, and now you are about to regress to an Advanced Diploma in a closely related field. How would you defend your purpose of visit and your study goals? Why not consider a Master's program? |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by SOPWriter: 2:17pm On May 15 |
papalasun:Note that even if your study permit is approved, despite your lack of academic progression, your wife won't be eligible for an SOWP. Of course, she can accompany you to Canada on TRV/VV, but she won't be able to work, which is a financial aftereffects you should consider. Your kids, if they're minors, can old visitor records. |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by papalasun: 3:50pm On May 15 |
SOPWriter:Thanks for your response, Moreover i don't understand what you mean by lack of academic progression and the SOWP As a qualified Medical Laboratory Scientist, after completing a master’s degree at a Canadian university, one will still need additional certification, internship, or professional training before becoming fully eligible to work. However, studying at a polytechnic, it easier to write the Medical Council or licensing board examinations and obtain eligibility to practice immediately after 2years graduation. My major concern is that I heard only postgraduate students are allowed to travel with dependents. What I really want to understand is the best pathway that would allow one spouse to work while the other studies Husband holds a master’s degree in Business Administration Wife Practicing Medical laboratory scientist {MLS) Thanks |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by papalasun: 4:05pm On May 15 |
SOPWriter:You are correct .MLS With 12 years work experience The MLS certificate won’t be declared, only the Nigeria college of health will be declared |

Good day all, please I have a question... I'm applying for a Spouse Open work Permit ( my spouse has been given admission already). I'll like to know the following; 1. Am I required to mention all my work history in the last 10 years or can I simply put my current work history only? I'm asking because I previously entered the PR pool as a dependent (but no ITA) an agent did it and I can't remember if he put any work history for me. Which brings me to my next question 2. While applying as a dependent for a PR, is there any column for putting a dependent's current job title with company name and dates. I'm referring to the dependent not the main applicant. Thank you NB: she applied for a master's degree |

You are trying to stress yourself with all these questions. Simply answer the questions correctly with the most up-to-date information about yourself and anyone that is connected to this application. If they say you should give a 10 years work history, make sure you account for time spent working and unemployed. Ensure there are no gaps that are unaccounted for. Unpatriotic2: |

Good evening everyone… Please, I have a question. Can ETA status determine the outcome of a study permit application? Because when I checked my ETA status, it was showing application refused. |

| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by SOPWriter: 9:44pm On May 15 |
papalasun: What I meant by your lack of academic progression is that, since you currently have a BSc in a similar discipline, your proposed Advanced Diploma may not be viewed as a step forward in your academic career. Regarding the reason you stated above, which I bolded, are you expected to practise in your home country or in Canada? Are you applying for a Study Permit or a Work Permit? This is a typical example of the contradictory details people often include in their SOPs, which can work against them. Please ensure that you understand the regulations governing the study permit you are about to apply for. |

My main question here is: was this a registered agent? Honestly, when I see people getting scammed by unregistered agents, it's frustrating because it's often avoidable. Personally, I’m a DIYer—I did my own application first, and since then, I’ve successfully helped several cousins, friends, and currently, my aunt and her friend. If I ever had to use an agent, they would absolutely have to be legally registered so that I have a regulatory body to report to if things go wrong. Too many people fall for cheap, unqualified 'agents' who barely even understand the process. AbelAbdul: |

ehiremen2002:Thank you for saying that out ... If I ever had to use an agent, they would absolutely have to be legally registered so that I have a regulatory body to report to if things go wrong. Too many people fall for cheap, unqualified 'agents' who barely even understand the process. When I speak, some people say I have a vested interest in agents. Some call me a scammer, others call me a madman. But no one can attack the facts, the statements, or what I say. Using a legally registered and licensed immigration agent is not cheap. The average Nigerian often has the mindset of “I can get it cheaper somewhere else.” As I have said before, and I will keep saying it: please do your application yourself if you can. No one knows your story better than you know yourself. As of today, Nigeria has only 8 licensed immigration agents. They are not cheap. If you cannot afford them, then do it yourself. do not pay any facebook agent PLEASE https://register.college-ic.ca/Public-Register-EN/RCIC_Search.aspx

Unpatriotic2:(1) It’s best to include all your work history for the period requested on the form, not just your current job, to avoid gaps or inconsistencies. Why because IRCC keeps record (2) Yes, Express Entry/PR applications usually have sections for a dependent’s employment details, even if the dependent’s work experience is not being used for CRS points |

| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by SOPWriter: 9:16am On May 18 |
papalasun: A significant number of Canadian universities don’t require the test at all, while others may waive it for you. In either case, you should check directly with your school. |

Hello, please does anyone know anything about personal support worker program? I am asking for a friend who is currently considering it but is confused if her age will be a problem for application, expecially for visa application since the course is usually a 1yr certificate course. Please any help from anyone with info about this program will be much appreciated. Thank you. |

I need guidance on this , the possible way to make it work out. I’m a Canadian PR and I wish to sponsor my sister who’s married with 3 kids for study visa. What’s the best way to go about this to avoid possible refusal. She’s likely to come with the last child The family have little to no funds , all expenses on me. What’s your advice for me. Will appreciate all the responses |

FreshFrosh:Let her apply to religious school which must be on graduate or advance level and the school must be internationally accredited. She also has to profile herself as one of the levites (pastor, evangelist etc). The 2nd option is to apply to Coady Institute which gives 100% funding but depending on her career history or Phd full funding. |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by FreshFrosh: 2:59pm On May 19 |
PhdCloakRoom:Thanks for your input I’m leaning towards the second option but could only see that the programs on there are offered online. She’s graduate of polytechnic- HND Office Technology and Management but she has been teaching secondary school students all these while. |
