They say "bad news sells"; the truth is that there has been so much bad narratives about marriages, relationships, the gender wars that has now set a tone of distrust among young men and women. Guys have made idols of people who demonize women, and girls have found comfort in bitter women who think men are the devil.

But I dare say, there are beautiful marriages out there. There are awesome relationships out there that will seem to be out of a Disney movie; but they exist! Two mature and responsible adults who come together, shut off the noise and are willing to build something great.

So share, what did your wife/husband or fiance/fiancee do during your dating phase that made you say "THIS IS MY FINAL BUS STOP", and inside your stomach you were singing Ed Sheraan's song "I found the one for meeeee".

First, let me pour libations to our ancestors... may their good spirit, keep us, and may our enemies not lead us astray. Aseeee.

There was a time I took one very "risky career move"; I quit my low-pay job to pursue skill training like that, during that time I depleted my savings and was really in a bad place financially. My girlfriend always says I'm a proud guy (I'm a Benin guy, there are somethings we just don't do - not a rule, just self-respect - I hardly ask for help).

So, what she did, she told me she wanted me to help her "save money" towards something (she knows I'm very trustworthy when it comes to money) - she knew if she gave me as "dash" I won't take, but say I'm fine; she also didn't want to say it's a loan - but she knew that I would likely use from the money, even though she trusts that she'll get it back if she asks.

She rendered help to me at my lowest without making me feel less; and her words of encouragement actually made me believe in my self in times when I thought the decision I made was a bad one.

Well, things have gotten much better for me now, and I know she's IT FOR ME.

I had a struggling business going on when she met me and my main career was on hibernation then.
She came and helped out, I noticed she likes to make money! So I put her in charge of the finances 100% not letting her know that I have a way of cross checking to know if she's faithful. She never failed me once and most importantly she brought in new ideas and better way of handling certain issues.

Most importantly, has all the attributes of "woman of virtue" as described in proverbs 31. I would have been the biggest fool if I didn't take her home

We never marry
She organise my life.
When i met her, i was dating 2 other girls.
The first was just looking for a guy that was ready for marriage and she stayed because she hasn't seen😂
The second one was after what she can get from me
But when this one came, she was opposite of the first 2 in everything.
After dating/observing the 3 for 5 to 6months, i ended everything with the first 2 and focussed on only her and its been a year and 8months now. and no regret

My was funny. She came to my house to see me but met my absence.

She met my parent and she heard my parent pestering my twin bro to kill two chickens as my dad was expecting some visitors.

I didn't decide to marry her because of anything she did, but because of who she became to me after I found her - she became the lady I love simply because she exist, nothing more. All the standards I once had concerning who I wanted to marry simply became irrelevant.

She remains the dumbest decision I ever made (because I certainly did not bother to think too much about it), and also the best decision I ever made after accepting Christ (because I have no reason to regret the life we now share). I don't think any other woman could have endured what she endured with me while we went through financial hell.

Sometimes we just decide, but we can't explain why we did, but we just know that we should.
