Watching Camroon Vs Uganda AFCON U17 in Morocco and am so impressed with this Ugandan team though losing to Cameroon 0-1, I like their 0ne-touch play, lots of movement but lacking in the final third. |

It won't be bad if we approach this boy since Japan isn't looking his way. Japan has quality goalkeepers, even Zion Suzuki is their third choice. At 25, Leo will be eager to taste senior national team football and we might just get him if we make an approach.

TheSuperNerd:LA LIGA IS VERY VERY COMPETITIVE THIS SEASON. THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TEAM THAT IS 7TH AND THE TEAM THAT IS 19TH IS ONLY 8 POINTS. ITS STUNNING. I WAS STUNNED WHEN I SAW THE COMPETIION. OUTSIDE REAL MADRID AND BARCA TOPPING THE LEAGUE FREQUENTLY THE COMPETION IS INTENSE FOR THE OTHER PLACES. ITS ACTUALLY MORE COMPETITIVE THAN I MYSELF THOUGHT |

Ethiopia vs Morocco U17s @U17Afcon2026 HT Ethiopia leads 1-0 but truthfully it should be 2-0 coz the ref denied a clear penalty despite checking VAR and also left a moroccan player in the game despite what looks like a red card offence. Even at U17 level, officiating is this bad in favor of the hosts, Morocco... make dem just stop this rubbish naa abeg. Abeg!!! |

TheSuperNerd:I WISH MOROCCO A BAD WORLD CUP AND I AM NOT SUPPORTING THEM FOR THIS WORLD CUP. SEE IF I AM SENEGAL I WILL NOT RETURN THAT TROPHY AND IN ANGER WONT MIND PULLING OUT OF CAF. YES. I WONT BLAME SENEGAL IF THEY PULLED OUT OF CAF. MOROCCO NEEDS TO STOP HOLDING AFRICAN FOOTBALL TO RANSOM JUST BECAUSE THEY HAVE MONEY. MAYBE SOMEONE SHOULD REPORT THEM TO FIFA. MAYBE LIKE A GROUP WITHIN CAF. |

The next WafuB U17 comes up in September 2026. Now that we have our U17 Technical crew, we have roughly 4 months or so to prepare and put together a really solid and MRI-certified U17 team that is ready to win no matter the circumstance coz we must not miss the next U17Afcon and U17WC, both scheduled for 2027 in Morocco (likely again) and Qatar respectively. |

This Moroccan #17, Ibrahim Rabbaj, is a quality young lad. I may be misunderstood as exaggerating but his movements, the way he controls the ball and even his hair reminds one of teenage Messi. Na wa. Lol |

Officiating at this U17 is a joke. Ethiopia was denied a clear PK and a Moroccan player should have been sent off shortly after. Man i tire. Lekja and Morocco have CAF by the ballz. |

Mourinho delivers an "Invincibles" season at Benfica but finished 3rd. 23 wins, 11 draws, No Losses. 8pts behind Champions, Zaidu's Porto who lost 2 games but won 28 games with only 4 draws. Mou bids goodbye to Benfica via finishing unbeaten in the league. Real Madrid return is next. |

Chijioke Aniagboso, GK secured his 16th Cleansheet of the season yesterday from 24 games as his side, Chernomorets Odesa (2nd) played out a goalless draw vs 3rd placed Livyi Bereg in the Ukrainian Persha Liga (2nd tier). Aniagboso and Odesa are in the 2nd automatic promotion slot to the Ukrainian Topflight with 2 games left to play. NB: 3rd and 4th positions play Promotion playoffs but 1st and 2nd places get automatic promotion. |

Small digress from the beautiful game. Samuel Ogazi, 20 is now the first ever Naija Athlete to run under 44 seconds in the 400m flat. 43.95seconds... 6th african athlete in history to go under 44s. We have a jewel in this lad coz his time is also now a current world leader for 2026. The Great Innocent Egbunike whose national record stood for years never run under 44secs. We still have Ezekiel Nathaniel, 22 who was 4th in the Men's 400m Hurdles at the World Championships last year behind legends like Rai Benjamin and Alison Dos Santos but ahead of Norwegian Freak, Karsten Warholm. Our guys, like our ladies, are not asleep on the athletics front.

Was going to comment on this. Great to see great talents now coming into the scene of Nigerian athletics. Have been hearing about Ogazi for some time. Looks like the real deal. You make a good point too about Nathaniel. He's beginning to peak. Was a bit unlucky not to medal at the last world champs. If the AFN is up and doing I Nigeria realistically getting a medal from the world champs and 2028 Olympics in the 4x400 men and mixed relay. Don't take your eye of Kanyinsola. He has consistently been running sub 10s and still has room for improvement. Of we should not forget our star girl Tobi Amusan. Hope she can get back to that form which helped her break the world record in the 110 metres hurdles. Like with football talent yapa in both local and diaspora but administration is poor. Olapade Adenekan was part of the quarter that won Silver in the 4x100 men at the Barcelona Olympics. They were very impressive with the Ezinwa twins, Chidi Imoh, and the late Oluyemi Kayode making up the team. They were only bested by the Americans who had the legendary Carl Lewis in their ranks. Kanyinsola did this recently and I just shook my head. I hope he learns his lesson because that is misplaced arrogance. You dont ease off until you are damn sure you have won your race.
In all, yes, he is another strong prospect in the 100s. Anyway, pardon me, back to football. chrisooblog: |

Yusuf Bamidele Scored and assisted yesterday in Ferencvaros' 3-0 win over Zalaegerszeg in the Hungarian NB.I. Transfers-linked Akpe Victory was unfortunate to concede an owngoal. Yusuf and Ferencvaros finished 2nd on the league table with Yusuf bagging 12 goals, 6 assists across all competitions from 37 games played. Recall Yusuf and Ferencvaros also beat Akpe's Zalagerszeg in the 2025/26 Hungarian Cup final 1-0 8 days ago. |
