Kog45:this our foreign born acquisition steps in Nigeria. It does not seem very successful. Do you feel its because we only aim for the high and almost sure talents in england alone unlike morocco, coted ivoire and senegal who poach talents from italy, belgium, netherlands, france?? Or are the nff scouting guys just inefficient? |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Napoleon55(m): 1:55am On May 18 |
Amedino99:Scouting is about the simplest thing any one can do,even the dumbest person from this thread can do,even you can identify most of our foreign born players across Europe from the comfort of your home,How much more professionals, coaches and agents paid to do the job? Getting them to play for us goes beyond just scouting and identifying them, how about those players willingness to commit to our course? This is not about shielding the football governing body for their ineptitude. For the bolded, As big as Nigerian football culture we are,do we really need quantity or quality talents that can compete against the best and win us trophies? We should be aiming not just to qualify for world cup but to play in the semifinals, or possibly win it. Only true quality talents can take you that far. Getting the very best,as the likes of Olise, Saka,Mbape, Eze,etc. is what makes the acquisition seems difficult for them. |

TheSuperNerd:Sofascore na eediots 😂 These guys will legit give Osimhen a 6.1 or 6.2 rating in a game where he scored and Flashscore or FotMob will give him an 8+ rating for the same match. It has started since he was at Napoli, I don't trust their rating system again lol 😂 |

Napoleon55:How can we get the likes of Eze and Oliseh when we can't even get the likes of Nwaneri and Ugochukwu? You need to stop making excuses for the useless NFF and Ibrahim Gausau. Even Pinnick with his mango head was able to get the likes of Aina, BASSEY, Iwobi etc to play for Nigeria. Players we still rely on today but that useless alhadji cannot even get low hanging fruit. What does that tell you? Our infrastructure is rubbish. Only 1 caf approved stadium, No training facilities, no development plan, no grassroots plan this is the state of Nigeria football today. That makes us unattractive to anyone. Until we fix our NFF and reform it we will continue to lose out. A time will come when the likes of Morocco and Drc will be beating us home and away without breaking a sweat because we lack quality. But yea o keep making excuses for incompetent people. That's a Nigerian tradition. ![]() |

If they dont get Senny Maluyu and Johnny Mouko now they may lose them in the future. I see France with Zidane taking over doing everything possible to keep Maluyu. Same thing with Belgium and Mouko. |

Afcon attendee, Usman Mohammed in action for Ironi Tiberias away at Hapoel Jerusalem in Israel's Ligat Ha'al. They lead 1-0. Andrew Idoko in action for Hapoel. No John Otomewo today probably due to a knock but there is Jidechukwu Ibeh Ransom on the bench for Hapoel. |

Wait so the 2025/26 EPL's highest scoring teen, Eli Junior Kroupi, 19 of Bournemouth could turn out for Portugal? And is also eligible for CIV? I thought the lad was still committed to the French despite not being named to the final WC Squad. Interesting. |
