Insecurity: Nigerians Dying On Your Mandate – Actor, Laide Olabanji Tells Tinubu by Bobloco(op): 11:56pm On May 20
Laide Olabanji, Ace Nollywood actor and CEO of LAIBAN Films International, has faulted the administration of President Bola Tinubu over its inability to protect the lives and properties of citizens.

The producer who was reacting to the worsening insecurity across the country, particularly the recent killing of a teacher who was beheaded in Oyo State, as well as daily killings by bandits in Plateau State, criticised Tinubu for failing to govern in the interest of Nigerians.

Olabanji questioned the government’s humanity. He lamented the non-stop bloodshed in Nigeria and the government’s nonchalant behavior and lack of responsiveness.

Speaking in pidgin, he said, “On your mandate we dey cry, on your mandate them dey cry, on your mandate, on your mandate. On your mandate people dey die.

“Nigerians are being killed every minute. And you are not afraid of God who created heaven and earth. You’ve turned the citizens’ lives to kite, they are being killed every day, and you are not responsive.”

Sharing the video on his Instagram page on Wednesday, he wrote, “If you can’t give Nigerians good electricity, better roads, if you can’t remove hunger in the country, if you can’t bring down fuel price, kindly give Nigerians good security.

“Nigeria is bleeding, Nigerians are dying in the hands of bandits and kidnapers. Let the killings stop in the country.”

🚨 WHISTLEBLOWER THREAD 🚨

What is happening to over 140 workers at Federal Polytechnic Offa through the Polytechnic Consult scheme deserves national attention.

Qualified graduates and professionals are allegedly being used as cheap labour while proper federal employment opportunities are being reserved for connected individuals and relatives.

THREAD👇

1. Many competent staff members working under the Polytechnic Consult arrangement reportedly earn just ₦30,000 monthly in 2026 Nigeria — despite the national minimum wage being ₦70,000.

2. Salaries are also allegedly delayed for weeks. A worker’s May salary may not arrive until around June 18–20. How are people expected to survive, feed families, transport themselves, and remain productive under these conditions?

3. These workers carry out essential academic and administrative responsibilities that keep the institution functioning, yet they reportedly remain underpaid, insecure, and excluded from proper federal appointments.

4. The alleged system appears designed to exploit competent people temporarily while influential individuals secure permanent opportunities for their own preferred candidates.

5. This is not just unfair — it raises serious labour, ethical, and accountability concerns.

…to urgently investigate the treatment of these workers and the recruitment process surrounding Polytechnic Consult engagements.

Nigerian workers deserve:
✔ Fair wages
✔ Timely salary payment
✔ Transparent recruitment
✔ Equal opportunity
✔ Dignity of labour

Sometimes, some of u just post and it is immediately become obvious that u posted rubbish....
U think is only ur ppl that want good governance...
And u think it's only ur ppl that voted for PO in the last election...
And do u think it's only ur ppl that will vote to bring him in power ..

Think about this things...stop attacking with all this tribalistic comment here and there..
To me ..u don't even matter...I don't vote for party ..I vote for personality...
If I feel that u can make things better...
Even if u're idoma , I'll vote for u...

Every tribe has good and bad people. I believe the good Yoruba people are not in support of Tinubu as indicated in the last general election in Lagos. But they have to be careful about speaking out because you still have to live with your neighbours. No one wants fingers pointing at them. But in elections where voting is anonymous, they vote whoever they want. But then again, votes don't count so ....

You really missed it. It's not like we Yorubas don't call ourselves out. We do. We don't think one way. Many Yorubas voted for Obi now, even though you eventually still called them tribalistic because Obi didn't win the election.

As usual, i was hoping to see a superior solution or advice on solving the problem than what is being done. i didn't see any. It's very easy to criticize anything, even God.
What do you mean by nonchalant behavior and lack of responsiveness? Terrorists are being hounded, arrested and killed every single day in Nigeria. This is the keg of gun powder we've conveniently sat on for decades. We should stop politicizing the fact that it's blowing up on our faces and face the issues squarely instead.

Those who stood on his mandate can die doing so, because they deserve it.

I have neither pity nor prayer, because they deserve none.

So long as we continue to choose bad and evil over GOOD in Nigeria, those who stood for evil will continue to reap EVIL.

What you plant is what you reap!

Re: Insecurity: Nigerians Dying On Your Mandate – Actor, Laide Olabanji Tells Tinubu by Mccullum: 7:09am On May 21
He's talking ignorantly because he didn't understand the politics of Nigeria deeply or he's saying it for politics of antagonist.

Why he cannot blame Oyo state government that is in charge of security in the State. Or they told him that he's not receiving security money from FG monthly.

FG must know how to hold governors responsible for insecurity in their various states, they must know how to gather intelligence that will assist FG in containing insecurity, I suspect Oyo State is using as instruments for discrediting of Tinubu's government by some deadly politicians.

When we started the campaign against tinubu, they said we're ibo, we're omo ale as if we cant identify our father. Better late than never. You guys should bury your fear and shame and speak out against this evil regime. Tinubu has nothing to offer Nigerians but pain. When someone says its his turn, rather than fixing Nigeria and the mess his predecessor left behind, you shouldn't take such a person seriously.

Has anything improved now? That's what we've been facing in Lagos...lies upon lies.
