Hurray The greatest headache of APC now is this new judgement against INEC. No judgement can be appealed by any 3rd Party except INEC itself and which will further destroy its current bad image. The cage of Babylon is finally opened for all unlawful captives to escape.. |

The Federal High Court in Abuja has nullified several timelines and directives issued by INEC for the 2027 general elections. The court held that: 1. INEC can only monitor party primaries and cannot dictate when political parties must conduct their primaries for the 2027 elections. 2. INEC cannot shorten the timeframe within which political parties are required to submit candidates’ particulars. 3. INEC cannot impose a shorter deadline for the withdrawal or replacement of candidates, including placeholder arrangements. 4. INEC cannot publish the final list of candidates earlier than 60 days before the election. 5. INEC cannot compel political parties to end campaigns two days before the polls. The court consequently nullified INEC’s timelines relating to: - conduct of party primaries; - submission of candidates’ particulars; - withdrawal and replacement of candidates; and - publication of final candidates’ list and campaign timelines for the 2027 general elections. |

Chegesnd:You typed like someone writhing in pains and can't respect other people's opinion. Anyways I'm just a political analyst and a realist. The hypocrisy of people like you because you dislike the government in power makes it difficult to remove the speck in your eyes. You people don't seem to see your hypocritical stance as irritating and childish. I come in peace. ![]() |

Parachoko:They are not realistic and objective with little knowledge of politics and Nigeria political history. They see neutrals like us as supporting the government in power even when I'm not. I'm neutral and I will remain like that for now. But I hate their sheer hypocrisy |
| Re: Court Nullifies INEC Membership Timeline by Dmano: 9:41pm On May 21 |
Mrexcell:. It's in the electoral act, the 120 days no court can upturn it |

Yemmysworld91:If you're not supporting their Candidate, they see you as an enemy immediately. |
| Re: Court Nullifies INEC Membership Timeline by Dmano: 9:45pm On May 21 |
sekeyso:. They cannot appeal because they are not Inec besides it is in the electoral act 120 days window before submitting the party's registered |
| Re: Court Nullifies INEC Membership Timeline by Dmano: 9:52pm On May 21 |
IGBOPROMISE1:. The judgement was against Inec and not political party and besides it's 120 that is in the electoral act sign by the president |
| Re: Court Nullifies INEC Membership Timeline by toprealman: 10:01pm On May 21 |
Every pit wey dem dig for you, jump and pass. They will still rule that all post May 10th candidates are illegitimate. |
| Re: Court Nullifies INEC Membership Timeline by Dmano: 10:15pm On May 21 |
Yampotatocarrot:. There is nothing they can do because they are not Inec and beside the judgement is there is a 120 timeline by which a party can submit their membership register in the electoral act which superseded Inec guidelines |

| Re: Court Nullifies INEC Membership Timeline by Vision101(m): 12:42am On May 22 |
HIGHESTPOPORI:The judge interpreted one leg of the law. Did he remember the number of days that primaries must be concluded and aspirants known before the election. INEC will appeal and the court of appeal will quash this ruling. |
