lovewins:For the Rangers chairman, even with his knowledge, he needs to align with the right people and he can end up getting the NFF chairman position. Everything in life is politics and if he plays his politics well, not even his tribe or religion would be able to stop him. He shouldn't sit at the comfort of his sitting room and expect the position to be handed to him on a platter... Others are still aspiring and nothing stops them. He should first table his aspiration to Mba his governor who is very close to the President, then to Hope Uzodinma and then to Pinnick, he will get it |

Amobi was also Team Manager (not coach) when Enugu Rangers won the League title 2015/16 with the Famed C.A.N.E Attack and Imama Amapakabo as Coach. He has come a really long way as well from then to current G.M/CEO of Enugu Rangers FC. One of the finest club administrators we have in the country. Under him, Rangers also run underage programs for U6, U10, U13 and U15 levels at the club allowing Parents bring their kids twice a week to indulge in their children's football journey. An all inclusive youth football development program within the club and ran in sync with their neighboring communities. lovewins: |

oloriooko:To come and do what? You people have started this your nonsense again. What has he done in CAF competitions? CAF CL? where was Rangers? Let Rangers compete and do well in the CAF CL and CAF CC then we can talk. He should not be anywhere near the SEs. If he wants to coach a Nigerian National team it should be U20 and maybe U23 for now. No Nigerian is qualified to coach Super Eagles as of right now. |

Italy's latest friendly list. Features 3 nigerians; ahanor, ekhator, and koleosho. Young players too but kayode once again is yet again ignored. If only we can just use this opportunity of all these ignored call ups to pick him. although even if we reach out, he might still be passionate about the italian senior team since he has/is still playing for the youth team.

Coach Eric Chelle ahead of May 26 Unity Cup encounter: “Like I said, we have a vision for this national team... Some of the new players are ready and motivated. The players of the NPFL, the players of the European leagues, they have the chance to enter the Super Eagles (main) team." “When you play a game like this, the first thing is the attitude, the state of mind. They have to show us first, their state of mind. The most important thing for them is the….. you know when you play football, you make some mistakes. This is not the question about the mistakes. This is the question of what you can do after the mistakes. It's a question about the state of mind. The only pressure that they can have is to fight for every ball. It is to run, run and run.” |

So we know Eric Chelle was brought in last year January (2025) on a two-year deal to fix our World Cup qualifying mess. We missed the World Cup anyway (lost to DR Congo on penalties in a match that both NFF and our players both willfully and foolishly compromised). Chelle then took us to AFCON 2025 in Morocco where the minimum target was the final, and we settled for bronze. However, we all agreed the gameplay at the tournament was one of the best we had seen from the team in years and we championed him staying as coach for the long term. Now at the start of the year, the man has submitted a renewal proposal with multiple points geared towards development of our national team with interesting offers, most of which I agreed with. Your NFF blinked and countered with just $100k. Talks have been dragging since. My question is simple: why is this taking so long to renew his contract? Because knowing NFF, what I suspect is that they're quietly looking for an excuse to terminate him, bring back Eguavoen for the fiftieth time, pay him peanuts, and reset Nigerian football back to absolute zero as is tradition. I hate to keep being the bearer of bad news. Maybe it's because I prefer to call things as it is instead of just getting carried away with false positives. But don't be surprised if this man doesn't even stay around long enough to prosecute the next round of qualifiers to the end. This Unity Cup might be his last tournament. I've made peace with it and y'all should make peace with that too. |
