DeepSight:So after 8 years of Buhari's disastrous rule, a northerner, Atiku singular of act of breaking up the opposition (PDP) by insisting power must return back to the north has shown you what? Let me wait for your response and see how big minded and full of wisdom and strategic thinking Atiku is. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by DeepSight(m): 7:08pm On May 26 |
Beorn:Hmmmm. I have to agree Atiku has not done well at all. Indeed, if he had been wise enough not to be competing with his boss Obasanjo, he probably would have succeeded him. But the foolishness of never being able to wait - having no sense of delayed gratification - absolutely messed him up over the years. Sadly, this is the very thing that the despicable BAT has excelled at - pin point perfect strategic patience and timing. If at his age, Obi does not know that nothing short of a united opposition will unseat Bola, he is a disappointment. He cannot learn from the last election, that means he is unteachable by anyone, including the universe. |

DeepSight:Why does everyt statement revolves round Obi?? Makinde, sowore and many others are in the ballot as well... If you and many others think Obi is actually a major/strong candidate and insist on 4years ..why can't Atku and every other person lay low for him just to clinch power from d devo on seat ??Atleast Atiku might not kpuff b4 2031.. As it stands now..Atiku in 12 years time will be like this.

Obi is actually d most intelligent/wise person in that sham/cornered party called ADC Amechi and issa-ayatu are lamenting tirelessly on X. Otiku don carry den handicap |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 7:39pm On May 26 |
So even against Amaechi and Daihatsu, dem still share dollars? Wonderful |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Beorn: 7:47pm On May 26 |
DeepSight:The truth is that opposition parties haven't gotten their acts together and it's a darn shame. By now, they'd have dropped their egos or greed and unite under a singular consensus southern candidate but one of the reason such will never happen is because of Atiku's generational greed and insane quest for power. At this point, I'd rather Tinubu continues his disastrous reign than for Atiku to smell that seat because he's greedy and selfish. This is a man that has been pursuing power and participating in presidential primaries when most of these current politicians were just staring off. A man whose greed and bad timing has destroyed his chances of being the president of this country. A man who wanted to dispose his boss just to be the president. A man who lacks patience or the political sagacity to get his dream true. A man who destroyed PDP during Jonathan era when he formed the nPDP and joined APC to ruin his party simply because he thought he'd clinch APC presidential candidate ticket. When that failed, what did he do? He ran back to PDP he used and dumped and bribe his way to win the presidential candidate ticket despite his betrayal. A man that Obi deputized for when it was North's turn to rule but when it was South's turn, the same greedy f*o*o*l refused to allow South enjoy their time, instead destroying PDP with this power tussle with Wike. Now he's formed ADC with the greedy and cunning motive of getting Obi to join him after he had perfected a way to clinch the party presidential ticket since, so Obi will have no choice but to deputize for him again so he can run on Obi's new found fame and political goodwill, to win the election because Obi and the rest of the politicians were raised to help him fulfill his greedy ambition. If at his age, Atiku does not know that nothing short of a united opposition will unseat Bola, where he'd step back and back a southern candidate, he is a disappointment. He cannot learn from the last election, that means he is unteachable by anyone, including the universe. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by GloriousGbola: 7:51pm On May 26 |
Beorn:What you are missing in the equation is simple - this is first and foremost about chasing power and no one in the running is willing to cede to anyone else. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 7:55pm On May 26 |
GloriousGbola:If the opposition unites, and Atiku loses to Tinubu, what fighting chance does Obi have again? By 2031, APC will present a Northerner of which Atiku still qualifies to contest; Obi cannot. But it is Obi that should step down for Atiku in 2027 |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 7:56pm On May 26 |
Beorn:He has won the ticket. I can't wait to see him clear the North, like we were told here. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by GloriousGbola: 8:01pm On May 26 |
izzou:I did not say anyone should step down for anyone else. I said no one in the running is willing to step down. A lot of negotiation and horse trading must have gone down in 2014 when cpc and acn merged. And bat anticipated and planned for atiku and his dollar primary. No one in this is prepared to do the hard work. Then again seeing as Buhari did his best to stab tinubu in the back and how team atiku stabbed Wike in the back, it is much harder for anyone to agree to step down or step aside because there are no guarantees Buhari started backstabbing immediately he entered that office. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Beorn: 8:02pm On May 26 |
GloriousGbola:So if no-one is willing to cede power and support the other person, let them test their popularity at the polls and let Tinubu continue to win since Atiku can't recognize it's the turn of the south and wants to die on the presidential dream hill. Nobody should be disturbing Obi anymore for refusing to be in that sham of coalition created to power Atiku to victory. If he wouldn't support Obi to win and leave after one term by which the North would take over and rule for 8 years, then Obi wouldn't support him by being his deputy. Let Tinubu continue his rule. One thing is for sure, if Tinubu wins and when it's time for the North to rule in 2031, if Atiku is alive and running for the president, the South will pay him back for his greediness by not voting him either. Either way, he's not smelling that seat. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Beorn: 8:04pm On May 26 |
izzou:Exactly!! |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Beorn: 8:05pm On May 26 |
izzou:Gbam. Let him clear the North make we see. Make Obi's name rest for their mouths too. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by DeepSight(m): 8:13pm On May 26 |
Beorn:Well written. I agree with almost everything you have said except that its better for Bola to continue. Bola almost murdered the country with heartless wicked hardship in the last three years when he may still have needed the opinion of the masses. What do you think he will do when he no longer needs even an iota or semblance of it? To thy tents oh Israel, will it be! |

Segedinho:Last week Friday was our 5th year wedding anniversary, I couldn't even buy small gift for madam as I wanted because everything is now damn expensive. You are not even buying anything luxurious yet the way money dey finish you go dey question your financial discipline. It is well my bro. E go better for us all. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 8:15pm On May 26 |
GloriousGbola:If truly the coalition wanted to work, they should have backed a Southerner. All these "Northerners won't vote a Southerner" is a fat lie. Tinubu is clearing the North, and Buhari's supporters did not enter the grave with him. Even Tinubu in this current ADC will not sit down and watch a Northerner take the only 4 year slot left, only to wait another 8 years |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Roland17(m): 8:16pm On May 26 |
Our Nigerian politicians are rare breeds I swear. What exactly was Amaechi expecting? What is with the wailing and grinding of teeth? He seriously thought he'd beat Atiku in the primaries? Even in a free and fair popularity contest, does Amaechi think he will beat Atiku in the North to clinch the ticket? |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 8:17pm On May 26 |
Beorn:They just don't want the man to contest, and that's it. See how the ADC primaries is marred by funny figures. The same thing they accused APC for, is the same thing they are doing. This is the same primaries they are gaslighting another person for not contesting |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by larride(m): 8:18pm On May 26 |
izzou:No northerner should've contested in 2023 and this upcoming 2027. It's just the born to rule mentality that they have the votes to make themselves President. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 8:18pm On May 26 |
Roland17:Then it should be free and fair! I don't believe Amaechi can defeat Atiku, but why can't it be free and fair? Why are we still seeing 1,5,60,65 as counts in a free and fair election? |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by DeepSight(m): 8:19pm On May 26 |
GloriousGbola:The opposition have proved themselves a constellation of clowns. They simply are not ready. They have a lot to learn from Bola. |
