Our Nigerian politicians are rare breeds I swear.

What exactly was Amaechi expecting? What is with the wailing and grinding of teeth?

He seriously thought he'd beat Atiku in the primaries?

Even in a free and fair popularity contest, does Amaechi think he will beat Atiku in the North to clinch the ticket?
Amaechi is deluded. Someone that cannot even win Rivers.

Delulu pro max

No northerner should've contested in 2023 and this upcoming 2027. It's just the born to rule mentality that they have the votes to make themselves President.
Do they really have the votes to make themselves president?

Do they?

Why are we still seeing 1,5,60,65 as counts in a free and fair election?
Openly for that matter, and even not caring that they are being recorded. That is what is most damning.

Then it should be free and fair!

I don't believe Amaechi can defeat Atiku, but why can't it be free and fair?

Why are we still seeing 1,5,60,65 as counts in a free and fair election?
Lol my bro, you are expecting free and fair in primary election?

It's not going to happen in a million years. Who the party wants is who will emerge either by hook or crook.

No they don't. North West and North East do not have the numbers.

Well written. I agree with almost everything you have said except that its better for Bola to continue. Bola almost murdered the country with heartless wicked hardship in the last three years when he may still have needed the opinion of the masses. What do you think he will do when he no longer needs even an iota or semblance of it? To thy tents oh Israel, will it be!
Bro, it's out of anger that Atiku has decided it must be his or no way, that makes me say that. On a norms, Tinubu has failed in his first tenure, even an unborn baby knows this. But the unwritten rule is that it's South's turn. The North knows this, Kwankwaso knows this, that's why he was ready to drop his ego to back Obi so when it's North's turn, Obi will support him.

So the next person who wins next election will surely come from the South and right now, it's either Tinubu wins or Obi wins. The North knows power moves back to them in 2031, so wether we like it or not, if Obi can't defeat Tinubu, Tinubu will win and continue ruling.
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Beorn: 8:33pm On May 26

They just don't want the man to contest, and that's it.

See how the ADC primaries is marred by funny figures. The same thing they accused APC for, is the same thing they are doing.

This is the same primaries they are gaslighting another person for not contesting
EOD. All the gaslighting is just to make him stay and not contest, so when Atiku wins the primaries as usual, they'd mock him that he is finally going to be a deputy to Atiku.
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by raumdeuter: 8:36pm On May 26
izzou:
If the opposition unites, and Atiku loses to Tinubu, what fighting chance does Obi have again?

By 2031, APC will present a Northerner of which Atiku still qualifies to contest; Obi cannot.

But it is Obi that should step down for Atiku in 2027
Why can't Obi contest 2031 too? If Atiku is not respecting South turn then why should Obi

Obi 2031 Spy360 get in there

Because Obi wants to respect the North's turn.

Atiku has won today. I was expecting jubilations here and there.

It cannot be free and fair because we have 0 institutions and we don't run a politics of consequence. The confidence with which our politicians choose to deceive us in 2026, despite the power of SM reeks of shamelessness.

I mean we saw people counting 1,2,3..7,8...11, 12..21. One would think such evidence will force INEC to cancel that process but NO, our lack of strong institutions mean INEC will look past that and focus on being disruptive in other areas of the election.

Our entire system is corrupt and there is a lack of accountability.

I think INEC has zero power over the internal workings of a political party except if one of the affected aspirants go to work and get a judgement that INEC can enforce, if not, it's party supremacy.

These people aren't serious. They care more about this North vs South nonsense than removing Tinubu from power.

How can you be complaining about someone everyday then an opportunity presents itself that has a good chance of helping you remove the person and you refuse to take the chance because of emotional politics. This is like cutting your own leg to spite your ops.

Las Las all of us will just go hard for APC since everyone wants to be stupid. No be everybody APC no favor, some of us just disassociate because of our conscience not because the party didn't favor us. Oya na.

Amaechi is a funny guy

He will embark on a course where every man and his dog knows the outcome except him, then start complaining when the expected outcome materialises

He's been doing this for 11 years now. Is it that he has no one around him to give him a dose of reality. Man is always in fantasy world

He is a joker. He lost it when as minister with FG backing, he couldn't stop Wike from winning reelection and afterwards, installing a successor in Fubara.

Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by donjazzet: 10:45pm On May 26
Anybody that says Obi should have agreed to be vice for Atiku in 2027 is a very stupid cvnt!.

I will say this for the umpteenth time. Peter Obi won the 2023 elections but was rigged out NOT ONLY by the APC but also the PDP in their strongholds. Especially in the south south. The PDP rigged obi's numbers in akwaibom, bayelsa, cross river and so on. Obi scored not less than 8 million votes but his numbers were downgraded and pdapc numbers inflated. This we all know. I get sooo triggered whenever someone says Obi scored 6 million votes. Why are we choosing to decieve our ownselves??

Inside information whispered that there was a brief moment after the elections where some members of the PDP attempted to coalesce with Obi and restore his numbers with a goal to eventually running a coalition government. The idea was that through obi's votes in PDPs strongholds which they had plus his own inec rectified votes, they would definitely triumph in court.
ATIKU WAS THE ONE WHO DESTROYED THAT PLAN FOR SELFISH REASONS
.

Make no mistake, I do fault Obi for his poor utilization of his broad support and organization and leadership in some aspects but let's tell ourselves the truth please.

In all, please get your PVCs. No matter how frustrating our political scene is, you must never give up.
Your vote is your only power in governance. Giving it up comes from a place of ignorance.
You can never escape the effects of politics and governance in your life.

Your vote is powerful. Don't willingly surrender your power.

Anyone that says they won't vote is clearly ignorant and ill-informed.
Lastly, there are are sooo many public offices to vote for, not just the presidency. Educate yourself on who represents you at all levels of government. Understand their roles and vote accordingly. Never surrender your vote. That is simply an extreme thing to do.

But honestly ehn, our Governors I don't know what those people drink at times with the airports littered in the country that's barely functioning asides from Lagos and Abuja.

That airport Umahi built, I don't know how they call that an International Airport. It's one of the ugliest and hideous airports in Nigeria I've ever seen. Isn't it the one where they used concrete for the runway and wasn't done properly, they had to reconstruct it again with asphalt?

I believe Nigeria has like 22 airports amongst the states. Ogun new airport should make it 23. The celebration and pop I saw peeps online celebrating the Ogun airport as a Agric cargo airport etc just looked shameful. The airport looks pretty but it will suffer same faith all state airports have fallen under before they cry to meet FG to come manage them. How they went ahead knowing Lagos state is also prepping it's own airport just seems myopic.

The only airport outside of Lagos and Abuja I see to be profitable in the nearest future is the Ibom International airport.
Why I believe so is the technical details and thorough approach the management has. They paired the airport with an airline (Ibom air) and they're building an MRO facility for major repairs in Nigeria for their own fleet and targeting the subregion. If they can somehow tap into the transiting passenger market and utilize the hub-and-spoke model to the airport, they'd be a major winner. The airport is already designed for International connecting flights in mind as other world class ports.
How the airline and govt attract traffic is the head scratcher.

The only problem is I'm not so conversant with Akwa Ibom and it's industrial capacity or flight traveling middle class population. But if it can poach passengers from neighbouring states, it'd be key.
