Okay, thanks for your advice. We were just thinking of having children that have our traits. Not having a child that might end up not looking like us both academically, physically and morally. But at this junction guess we just have to take what fate has in store for us.
It's well.

I wish you the best and a positive outcome

So I would disagree.
Nothing wrong with using your sister's eggs.
It's very different from your sister being the surrogate .

If your sister is willing please do so.
I'm sure you can find a hospital that would allow you bring your own donor for egg donation.
Besides you can use both your eggs and your sisters if you prefer.

There are many advantages of using eggs from the family tree. Medical and genetic history that you know off is a strong one for me.

Personally if my sister had need to would have done it for her and she me. I'd be a super aunty that's all lol

Thanks for your input. More than 3 hospitals I contacted said they don't accept family donor. So I'm beginning to think it's a Nigerian law/policy thing..

For those who have been trying locally without success, I want to mention that India is a very serious option that many Nigerian couples overlook.

Top fertility clinics in Chennai and Mumbai have dedicated units that work with African patients. They offer IVF, ICSI, donor egg programmes, and male factor treatment. Success rates at the better clinics are published openly — which is something most Nigerian clinics do not do.

The cost difference is significant. You also avoid the emotional drain of long waiting times. The process starts with sending your existing reports for a free medical opinion before you commit to anything.

India also issues a specific medical visa category — it is not as complicated as people fear. Many Nigerian couples have done this journey quietly and successfully.

If anyone on this thread wants to know more about the process, feel free to ask here. I work in this space and happy to share general information. No pressure at all — just want to make sure people know the option exists.

Any recommendations for IVF with good success rate and pocket friendly for those in PH? A friend recommended Life in Awka Anambra state but traveling all the way is another challenge

Google Green care fertility centre . I heard about the hospital from a lady I follow on social media, mum of quadruplets. Please ensure you do your due diligence about them as well.

I completely get the travel struggle. Long trips just add unnecessary stress when you need a sincere, supportive medical team. I recently heard in a parenting group that Yashoda IVF Centre in Mumbai, India, is excellent, highly successful, and very pocket-friendly for international families. They have over 15 years of specialist experience and top-notch facilities all under one roof, so it might be worth reaching out to them online for a free initial consultation!
