I hope Jamaica beats India because it would be embarrassing watching Nigeria play against India. Jamaica would be a more worthy opponent. angry

Dream debut for the Milwall winger.

Took his goals very well. Love his direct and intentional play despite having some ball skills.

Still needs assessing but I'll be lying if I say I'm not excited with what he could potentially bring to the SE.

Like a poster said one time you will watch a player feature just one time in the GWG and you know he's the real deal. Azeez already giving me those vibes.

Let see how he fares against Jamaica who will be tougher opposition.

TheSuperNerd:
Femi Azeez Beloso becomes the First Nigerian player to score a brace on his debut game in 55 yrs.

The last Nigerian national team player to score a debut brace was Mathias Obianika in November 1971 in Nigeria's 4-0 win vs Burkina Faso (Formerly Upper Volta).

Only 5 players in Nigerian football history has scored a debut brace. Femi Azeez is the 5th and 1st since 1971.

Femi Azeez is also the 62nd Nigerian senior National team debut scorer.

The last player to score on his debut for Nigeria was Akor Adams last year vs Lesotho in a WCQs on October 10, 2025 away in Polokwane, SA.

Team C against their main team. Also this is the same team that our main team struggled against in the world cup qualifiers.

That Jamaican team can be very discouraging at times. They play even worse than Nigeria before Chelle. They will likely win though (India is simply too far below them and also have a non-existent attack since Chhetri retired) but watch how Jamaica are gonna struggle like mad.

Who noticed the campaign inscription (PBAT) on the cap of our supporters club yesterday?
Is such activity allowed in our National team?

🗣️ Eric Chelle on Femi Azeez’s performance:

“Congratulations to Azeez on his brace. Our objective was to ensure they run a lot and play a high-pressure game for 90 minutes, and they did not do this. We will analyse his performance, he lost the ball a lot and couldn’t win some back. I was not happy. If I wake up in a good state of mind and want him in the squad for the Portugal and Poland friendlies, he’ll get called up or not.”

Femi Azeez was the hero on the day and his directness is a weapon but I agree with Chriskels. Philip Otele imposed himself more in attack especially via the left wing and when tracking back.

ChrisKels:
Otele impressed me the times I watched him. To me, besides the goals, he was more imposing than Azeez was.

Coach Eric Chelle already thinking about the next Afcon Semis and the game changers needed to get past that stage into the final to get us that 4th Title.

He wants to be African Champion.

The Dutch are well travelled ballers always found in the top leagues as they remain among the world's best exports of elite technical playing personnel. So it is no surprise to see just 2 eredivisie lads.

That is the much talked about Ayobami Junior. Attacking midfield player. I hear he is "officially" 28 or so.
