Tinubu will return in 2027 because of the following reason: 1. Opposition parties are in disarray: Never in the history of Nigeria have we had these terrible opposition. When APC was opposition to Jonathan, they united under one umbrella and produced Buhari who threatened a bloody revolution if the election was to be rigged. What we have today as opposition are bunch of selfish and desperate old men who Tinubu will definitely retire from politics come 2027 2. The masses have not changed: Vote buying was heavily recorded in 2023 and from what we saw during party primaries, the masses are ever ready to sell their votes. 3. Tribalism and religious sentiments: From all indications even from the comments we see here on nairaland, people are solidly behind their tribesman even if bandits will kill all their villagers. Muslim clerics are all over the place preaching the need for a Sharia law and why they must support a president who will protect their blasphemy laws and not yield to pressure from Donald Trump. 4. Control of state apparatus: INEC chairman, IGP, CDS etc will all please who appointed them and do their biddings |

One-word answer: RiGGING! Directly and indirectly So it all boils down to number 4, even if opposition unites tghtly, and there is no tribalism! |

QuinQ:Rigging can’t win where you’re unpopular — it’s practically impossible. |
| Re: Why Tinubu Will Return In 2027 by QuinQ: 7:47am On May 27 |
lionshare:Really? How did Hope go from FOURTH place to governor? How popular was Tinubu in Rivers that he "won" by landslide? Systemic rigging is not concerned with popularity because powers that be write whatever they wish as the result |
| Re: Why Tinubu Will Return In 2027 by lionshare: 8:12am On May 27 |
QuinQ:With hope, it was the courts—Can you actually tag a court decision as rigging? As for Rivers State, it’s a prime example that you can’t rig an election where you’re unpopular. Without Wike, there’s no way APC would have won. This means Wike is quite popular in Rivers State, and that popularity made the result possible. |

QuinQ:. cry well well. Shebi it is Tinubu that helped Atiku to rig out other jesters in the ADC primary. You will cry for long. Tinubu is returning even if Heaven falls. And in 2031, Tinubu will handover to another Yoruba man from Kwara or Kogi State to take the slot of the North Central and a Yoruba man from Lagos will be the VP. That is when you will know that we have come to take everything. |

Tinubu returning or not returning in 2027 is not the point Conducting free, fair and credible elections in 2027 is the point |
| Re: Why Tinubu Will Return In 2027 by QuinQ: 8:34am On May 27 |
lionshare:This is laughable. Wike was not on the presidential ballot. Infact Wike was in a totally different party! The result was written in an office. Hope's was also written in an office. Only thing SC did was allow it to stand. They're not the ones that rigged |

APCNig:🤣 "We", when hunger is showing him shege😅 |

QuinQ:What Obasanjo could not do well in his do or die is what we are seeing here... It is a pattern that is predictable. They can see the handwriting on the wall. Wike is proof that Bola is not a true democrat and the power he has today is for his selfish reasons. For Bola to stake his head in Rivers and declare a state of emergency but he never did in Plateau, Niger and everywhere else there has been mass killing is proof that politics is his favorite subject, not governance. This further confirms that Tinubu did not win Rivers state so he has to use force in the state. Tinubu's path to victory is 1. Voter apathy 2. Divided opposition 3. Force/threat (he has been using this in Lagos for long but with federal resources, he now has governors like Okpebolo, Wike, SP Akpabio who's always assuring that he will win and others to threaten people to vote him or else) 4. Money (what's your price? This is why he and Atiku are two sides of a coin. In a poor corrupt country with little morals, many are willing to sell their convictions for the highest bidder) 5. Propaganda (gaslighting, see how they celebrate the uncompleted coastal road, they will accept no responsibility but blame everyone else using religion, tribe and other distraction from the main issue). The way they counted fake millions of vote is gaslight in. Gaslighting is the manipulation by psychological means of a person (or group) which causes them to doubt themselves, their capabilities or their sense of reality.

gidgiddy:Even in America, elections are not free and fair according to their own President. |
| Re: Why Tinubu Will Return In 2027 by BrickandLace(f): 9:37am On May 27 |
lionshare:Only when you hit the streets to tell INEC the results is fake and unpopular. Sit at home like last time and you'll know rigging can win. |
| Re: Why Tinubu Will Return In 2027 by QuinQ: 9:39am On May 27 |
SixSeven:Anybody who can go as far as dressing agberos as fake bishops will do ANYTHING to win! |
| Re: Why Tinubu Will Return In 2027 by QuinQ: 9:42am On May 27 |
BrickandLace:If you hit the streets Tinubu's NPF will shoot you. If you go to court Tinubu's SC will dismiss your case |
| Re: Why Tinubu Will Return In 2027 by franchasofficia: 9:59am On May 27 |
youngEmelex:The only thing that can make Tinubu win reelection in 2027 is massive rigging of the election. Even if opposition divide in 10 folds, if a free, fair, credible election is conducted, Bola Tinubu will come either 2nd or 3rd. Oyo and Ondo state indigenes have already vowed that Tinubu will not get their vote for abandoning them as Fulani terrorists kidnap and overrun their states. Northerners are already warning that anybody from the North that collected money from Tinubu to get him votes should return it. Southeasterners have rejected Bola Tinubu even before he decided to contest in 2023. Middlebelt people are angry with Tinubu for focusing on appointing their political elites who dont care how Fulani militants and terrorists have been dealing with them mercilessly. So how will Tinubu win if not through massive election rigging? Your number 4 is the only thing Tinubu is banking on to win reelection in 2027. |

QuinQ:Is he Joseph Mary and Jesus Christ? Nobody can have all that power unless he's been permitted by God himself. Something must give some of the time. |
| Re: Why Tinubu Will Return In 2027 by Moroccoguy: 11:03am On May 27 |
QuinQ:You need to read the court judgment that produces Hope, they didn't record a whole senatorial district results and they announced winner. |
| Re: Why Tinubu Will Return In 2027 by lionshare: 11:10am On May 27 |
QuinQ:Since you claim Wike’s results were written in some office, what stopped APC Lagos from doing the same? Or do you think they’re happy about losing Lagos? And as for Hope, you are clearly misinformed. |
| Re: Why Tinubu Will Return In 2027 by lionshare: 11:11am On May 27 |
Moroccoguy:These guys just like making uninformed assumptions and running with them as though they were facts. |
| Re: Why Tinubu Will Return In 2027 by lionshare: 11:13am On May 27 |
BrickandLace:The very reason you can’t sustainably hit the streets is confirmation that you are neither popular nor in the majority. |

lionshare:Dont mind those alarmist obidients, they do not even take their time to under the system and how it runs so as to objectively present their SWAT analysis.....many think Nigeria starts and ends in their homes and communities or their kith and kin, with thise menacing WhatsApp groups where they tell themselves the most ridiculous nonsensical lies about how they got 10m members in 2 weeks. |

franchasofficia:We have vowed to resist rigging in 2027.let see how many his police and military can kill starting from the north. Trump will be watching for human rights violations and threat to democracy. What is the population of his police and military. They no reach 1 million. When e red.i will see the northern military that will obey orders to shot thr people in nigeria |
| Re: Why Tinubu Will Return In 2027 by QuinQ: 2:49pm On May 27 |
lionshare:My friend you must not only control the apparatus of rigging but USE them! Where's Ambode today? Popularity has nothing to do with it. If someone writes election results, only thing you can do is take them to court. If they also control the courts, that's the only "popularity" they need. Hence dictators, despite being unpopular, routinely "receive" 98% of the votes. ![]() |
| Re: Why Tinubu Will Return In 2027 by QuinQ: 3:04pm On May 27 |
Moroccoguy:You simply don't know what you're talking about. Hope is a perfect example how someone who OBVIOUSLY wrote results can get away with it if the courts back him. See what happened below. Duplicate results from an obviously compromised police officer. SC refused to even casually examine the result sheets that were full of alterations, errors, and over-voting, clearly manipulated to just pass Ihedooha's total!

BrickandLace:He actially is - the way Nigeria foolishly copied American powerful presidency without having any of the countless conditions that keep the president in check. Funny thing is, Tinubu doesn't have to actually give any directions. Go read why APC said they couldn't clear Fubara - because the president's BODY LANGUAGE indicates he doesn't want him to go for second term! |

| Re: Why Tinubu Will Return In 2027 by QuinQ: 3:22pm On May 27 |
Streetinvestor2:Who is this "we"? That is the question. SE will once again choose to stay out of it. SW will definitely not protest. That leaves the North, who are not known for massive political protests. |
| Re: Why Tinubu Will Return In 2027 by QuinQ: 3:28pm On May 27 |
BrickandLace:Even if you have a working Senate president, the president can tame him by simply withdrawing his security detail or sicking EFCC, CPC, or some other of the many like agencies he controls on him, and there's nothing anyone can do about it |

QuinQ:In a sane society these are all impeachable offences.. |
| Re: Why Tinubu Will Return In 2027 by QuinQ: 3:41pm On May 27 |
BrickandLace:Not in Nigeria. The Nigerian president is kept in check only by his conscience - and massive public outcry/protests (which won't happen because the SE will stay out if it, SS and SW won't do it, and North don't do it!) |
