My question is: where is the money for all these projects? An excuse for more borrowing, I guess.

I always wonder, between a governor or president who have built little or not infrastructure to his name but leave office without any debt and the ones that build massive, world class infrastructure but with debt that will take eternity to pay off; which one is better for the citizens? I am always tempted to think the one leaving office without incurring any debt is best.

I just wish it can be done and completed in time because that system of transportation is convenient for moving about, especially from one state to another.
Imagine travelling from warri to itapke, then you get a cab or bus to Abuja.
Nigerians will surely be excited to see this project completed.
...catch a bus to the Nation's capital...
What kind of network is that. Every state should have a direct rail link to Abuja.

Is there any airport in Nigeria that does not have a scheduled flight to Abuja.

Funding is the challenge, one way to fund 6 of these projects is to give at least 6 of the top 10 billionaires in Nigeria 1 railline to develop with concession for 40 years.

Bullshit!

Despite borrowing more than all previous governments in two years, this kleptocracy government is struggling to fund minimum capital projects, such as those contained in the health budget. We are still implementing 2024 and 2025 budgets in 2026 and still borrowing as they go. The rail projects mentioned were mostly conceived, started or completed by the Goodluck Jonathan or Buhari administrations.

It is a shame that the failing Tinubu government is trying to take credit for the achievements of another administration. As for the newly proposed rail lines, don't hold your breath.

I am saying that it's funny how if you want to go to Abuja, you can't get straight train to take you there. You have to stop at Kogi and board a bus or taxi. It's stressful.

I wonder where exactly engineers want to place the rail lines in that lagos calabar coastal high way anytime I look at the picture of the road i really get confused on the design.
Maybe by the sides of the roads, cuz there's no provision for the train track in the middle of the Lagos - Calabar coastal road, expect they are just lying to themselves as usual.

They are proposed railway projects that has been planned through multiple regimes.

No way the projects would pull through during one administration. Highest is one or two.

I don't think it can pass through every state, let alone all cities. States too should do something. They can work on rail system connecting major commercial cities in their domain to have good interlink. Everything should not be done by federal government. States are collecting humongous amount every month from the federal government.

Let them align with the rest of the country first. You can't align with Kanu and say you want Nigeria, you'll just continue to shout and no one will listen to you.

You want an obi that has never distanced himself from biafra agitation. Your men kpaid politicians and other soldiers from different parts of the country during the 1966 coup, NOW YOU STILL OPENLY SPEAK AGAINST OTHER PARTS OF NIGERIA everyday. Its time you show where you belong.

Fantastic!! The Itakpe -Abuja Corridor should be priorities., as it will automatically create a corridor from Warri - Kano via a standard gauge rail network.

This is a political project that only exists on paper. Not a single work has been done concerning these projects, the only one that has a designated path ( railway path but not rails) after 3 years is the coastal railway.

You're right.
Most Nigerians will get to visit the capital of Nigeria at least once in their lifetimes for one reason or the other. It should have the most open and efficient access.

And if it does it will even ease congestion and housing pressure in the city. People can live in border states and commute daily for work and business.

If it cannot the city will bloat like Lagos and in decades to come become equally untenable.
