If this is true, food don done.
First, the lady should ensure this email came from a number or mail that is traceable as an official outlet of the said loan app.

THEN SHE SHOULD PAY THE LOAN.

Now, go get a lawyer who likes to cash out. Sue them, and make una settle out of court for like #5million.
The question is, at what point did she pay the loan??

You think it's going to be a straight forward case for her especially as she wouldn’t have cash to higher a good lawyer.

The Obidient should go and pay her debt. If everyone defaults on loans like she did, there will be no lenders left to give out loans. A new Nigeria KOpossible with this kind of mentality

Once you install any loan app in your phone, it has access to your phone contacts and the ability to harvest your photos

Oh she should pay the loan now because she want to sue them?

Omo I'm not in support of this obituary stuff but some Nigerians who knows they can't do without taking loans should always endeavour to pay up.
Some people even boast about how they're owing multiple apps and nothing can be done ro them.

Keep dreaming. Your love for quick money fools you into thinking legal cases are the shortcut to wealth. Your eyes will clear.

They threatened but did not publish. At the end, she will lose as she would repay her loan in full and still waste her time and money in following court proceedings. Something that's chicken change for the company that has its lawyers on a retainer basis who handles hundreds of cases as a full time salary job making the company cost per case close to minimum.
They think it'd be a straight forward case in her favour.

She'd pay up her loan in full and may even cover the app's legal fees.

They can't collect money from a de@d person.

This is much better than trying to claim rights by going to court.

Then no more repayment of loan because a dead doesn't pay money.

They'll likely not want it to go to court - especially if you approach them with a reputable law firm. Reason being thay, if it goes to court, the case will be publicized, and will draw more lawsuits from other people they've "defamed".

But then again, it's just hypotheticals.
take loan, refuse to pay back and then wait for their reaction, boom! You go to court to get more money for refusing to pay back money that helps you in time of need.

You will need not less than N1m to lose the case and still pay back the money.

So the hypothetical 5m is what she's worth or that's a big money in your mind....or a socalled reputable law firm would charge less than 5m for such case? Hypothesis should be higher not lower.

Small mind think small grin whatever you think you're worth is what people will take you as....if any loan app tries this rubbish with me they should just be ready to close their company and still owe me and i don't need a "reputable" law firm that tbey can settle behind my back to rubbish the case.

Think big bro and be courageous to admit when you goof and don't try to spin it off or rationalise it away.

5m too small, if you ask the court for 5m it might give you 1m.

My friend asked the court for 1bn in 2016 the court gave 11.25m, the government paid 12m in 2020.

Suing ? grin

Someone who dresses like that and can't afford to pay a loan that's probably less than 100k will be able to pay a lawyer?

You sef think nah. grin
I'm curious, where do you live? I mean which part of the country are you from for you to be thinking that getting/having a lawyer is luxury?😂
Secondly, in this age and time, what's making you conclude that the outfit is truly what she's wearing and not some AI generated graphic with her head placed on the image or you think AI can't be used for this purpose in this big 2026 because I can see you are accusing someone of not using their brain?😂
Na you dey in urgent need of that brain transplant pass o my friend and in fact, I will advise that ask the surgeon to make sure it's perfected so that this mvmuness doesn't get inherited by ur innocent kids.
Away from that, the debtor should pay off her debt but again, I'll advise you to not follow this path if you were the one in the loan company's shoes because if you are not careful when recovering money from people, you may end up getting yourself locked up untop your own money. There are rules and regulations guiding loan and debt recovery and what they just did here can only be done to someone who doesn't know how the law works. Also, in case you don't know, there are many lawyers out there who are hungry for cases like this😂 and many of these loan apps are not even operating legally, just don't get yourself into legal mess, Nigeria is not as lawless as you think.

Is the Loan company registered? Is it recognised by FCCPC? if not, they are illegal and any legal charge against them will be valid. There is a reason why those loan sharks operate from a hidden location.

Look at this 👇🏼 and tell us who is the real criminal.

They gave a friend 5 thousand naira, he defaulted for two days and just look at the threats he is getting.

Only criminals use blackmail to recover loan,
They gave you a date to pay back, you failed to payback.

And you are saying "just two days".

I am sure that "friend" is you.

Better go pay your igbese.

Do you think engaging a reputable law firm is cheap?
Law actually doesn't work how many of you think it does and the comments I've been seeing here on this thread are baffling and laughable to say the least😂😂
Many of you think having a lawyer is a luxurious thing when in reality, many lawyers want you to come to them with your troubles. Many lawyers are hungry for wahala.
Cases are not won by being "reputable"
About debt recovery, one has to be very careful so you don't end up being the offender in the end. Owing is actually not a criminal case and as such, you end up being the criminal if you ever treat a debtor like one. I learnt this in 2024 ontop my own money o. The best way to handle this is to stop lending people the money you can't afford to let go even if they are dying😂
The only time you can deal with a debtor is after you've served them court documents. The court will ask them to come up with a repayment plan and you become powerful to deal with them if they fail to honor the arrangements. Best thing is, don't let people borrow your money if you can't shout, owing is not a criminal case and the borrowers always have the upper hand.

Reports show that the lady in this image was owing the loan app and refused to pay. Then, this was sent to her with the threat that it would be published across all social media platforms. What is your view about this? Is this not too much?
She should forward all evidence to federal consumer protection agency, she will see the wonders they will do to that loan app .

She should look for a Brilliant Lawyer and Sue the Loan App,
For Claiming Someone DEATH when it is False is a Big Liability and a
BIG Lesson to some of thes Fraudulent Loan App,for how can you defend this ignominious Act- claiming Death of Someone, because she is Owing you money.!
The Damage to Claim Should be More than the Amount of Debt Owed and a Lesson in a hard way for some of these loan app - Deceiving Nigerians and claim what they are not,
For Example - Most often, the Low- Interest They give On- line is A Decoy For Most NIGERIANS to Patronize them and A BIG- Fat -Lies ,
For- Everywhere On Social Media and its devoid of INTEGRITY WHICH MANY OF THEM LACK IN LOAN MANAGEMENT, Afterall they don't even know Anything ABOUT Banking, with many just saw Small Money and they want to take NIGERIANS for a Ride.
• These Loans App- if they have been Truthful - would have been Patronized by Nigerians - WHERE THE CBN- and the Commercial Banks in Nigeria -With High Interest Rates - have failed Nigerians.
But Alas, they took failed Woefully and It is One of the ON-LINE -Fraud in Nigeria
It terrible, that We ( NIGERIANS) are Mostly Very Corrupt- Without TRUST and INTEGRITY 😥🥵.

Did you read the part about "a lawyer that knows how to cash out".

If a good lawyer settles down to see if she has a valid case and can win, he'll take the case without upfront payment - on agreement of 50-50 split of whatever he is able to get in settlement.

Like some other guys have said, maybe na because I dey watch too much movies.
You too watch film. You forgot the lawyer will have to produce her also. And then the company will swiftly pick her up easily through the same court. That on na straight Ayoko prison first. She will beg to pay the money

But why won’t she pay a loan she collected?
She wants to be Nigeria and the App is World Bank?

The App went extreme, but I guess they’ve used all possible options and she’s refusing or ignoring them

Why didn't she pay the loan in the first place.

Before the loan shark will go to this length, it means she has openly showed them that she will not pay.

How can you borrow a Lona and refuse to pay back.

• Don't you Know,
DEATH in Law Terminates ALL CONTRACTS AND BY EXTENSION,SHE IS NO LONGER ENTITLED TO PAY ,
- AS THE LOAN -APP HAS BY THEIR Foolish -CONDUCT( Publication Notice of Death) -TERMINATED THE CONTRACT BETWEEN THEM AND THE BORROWER ( THE LADY)
