By now I expect the school authorities to get those students found culpable of this animalistic behaviour towards the noble teachers to be dealt with accordingly because behaviour such as this shouldn’t be found in the four walls of our educational institutions. #Veritas |

meobizy:Teachers are not Criminals and Boxers, like most of the empty-head-students you are supporting. They are trained to teach, not to fight their students but unfortunately, the School System accept all manners of Children that lack Home training. From the tone of your language, one can imagine you doing the same thing in your secondary school days. Any student that beats his or her teacher, just like beating one's Parents, in heaping a life-long curse on him or herself. |

[quote author=CampusAi post=139532493]Good day Nairalanders, Parents, and Students. There is a highly disturbing 48-second video making waves across social media right now, and it has sparked a massive debate on the state of discipline and moral standards in Nigerian secondary schools. According to the reports and viral clips, a group of final-year SS3 students were caught on camera actively grappling, clashing, and allegedly fighting with adult staff and teachers outside an unnamed secondary school. The video clearly shows intense physical altercations, with some of the adults trying to defend themselves with canes while the students aggressively push back. As expected, netizens are completely divided on this: One side is completely disgusted, calling for immediate mass expulsions, arrests, and total prosecution of the students involved for utter disrespect and physical assault. The other side is questioning the teachers' methods, arguing that extreme, toxic corporal punishment or provocation might have pushed the students to a breaking point where they decided to violently fight back. Let's talk about it: Where do we draw the line between maintaining strict school discipline and pushing students to the point of violent resistance? If you were the principal or the parent of one of those students, what would be your immediate action? ]] Within the time this video lasted, in a normal country, police would have been there. Nigeria Police is trained to guard the tenure of politicians, and money people, not to protect the lives and properties of citizens. |
