My brother this is a topic for another long discussion but you're not far from the truth. There are so many ingredients that culminate to this anomaly.

It is essentially the system, it rewards impunity, it does not punish impunity. Its a deeply corrupt system, these are not leaders at the helm of affairs cos no leader would want to see his followers suffer, these are overlords protecting thier estate through their proteeges, Sons, families and cronies.

A wise man once said that a society can cope with one or two, three fools but when they become large in numbers they can bring down a society especially when they start adorning themselves in these little hats, shirts etc, next you know they are holding AK47s and whatnot so don't underestimate the power of fools.

Look our society is an anomaly where there's a reward for impunity. As long there is endless supply of money to pay off the people that could effect changes and shut them up then I'm sorry nothing can ever change. That's a reality check.

Despite being the incumbent deputy president of the senate and the candidate of APC, what was Omo-Agege's performance at the last election? The Okowa led PDP won the governorship, all senate and all house of reps seats including majority of the state assembly. So, what's Omo-Agege's strength against an APC structure that now has the Okowa group fully integrated?

In case you don't know, APC deliberately discarded him for working against the party during the last presidential election. That is why nothing was given to him. He can go to hell for all I care. He has no relevance.
Omo Agege is the architect of his problem. His problem started when the Gov defected to APC. He wasn't happy about it and he never associated or accepted him as his leader. It doesn't work that way.

80 - 90% in South West, Abuja & Rivers, 60% in North Central, 50% in South-South, 40% in Core-North and 30% in South East.

Obi, Atiku, Sowore, etc can share the rest amongst themselves.

The question we should be asking is Who will succeed Tinubu in 2031?
grin grin grin grin grin
This your maths dey make me laff.

SW that will be shared among Tinubu,

Makinde, Atiku, Obi and and several others.

Tinubu will be extremely lucky if he gets more than 40% from his own SW.

So that block vote for him don tofi ngida regardless of all the magomago they have planned.

Tinubu did not only act this way, he betrayed the party owners( the afrnifere) who gave him that platform to run as governor after several pleas,by abandoning the AD completely and registering the AC so the afenifere would stop monitoring his corrupt practices. There was no single crisis in the AD that could have warranted such move
You don't start something you don't have full knowledge of.

Were you dead when his deputy, Mama Bucknor Akerele told Tinubu (Gov) that he was not part of them when they formed AD?

You had better stop it there.

How do you lie so easily? APC swept the 2 Senate seats in South and Central on Omo-Agege's political, won U3 federal seat, while LP won OSU, won Uvwie and Warri south 2(Urhobo) amongst others in DTHA. What do you even know about Delta politics self that I'm talking to you.

Add PDP's vote to that of APC in 2023. That should give you an idea. It's not just the Okowa group now, it's the fusion of both structure. As at today, APC is the only existing political party in Delta state. Ned and Omo-Agege are irrelevant noisemakers.
Kai this was Ned that slaved around for Tinubu, decamped even before Okowa's 1.3 trillion case was brought up.

Well, I'm happy Omo agege has finally gotten the courage to leave the party for Dem Sheriff and okowa since Tinubu seems to trust those duo more than the people who were in the party before they joined.

Omo-Agege’s Move from APC to NDC Is a Political Mistake and Miscalculation

He is decamping because Abuja connections failed

I’m not surprised, but I am disappointed.

I just saw the news of Former DSP Omo-Agege resignation from the APC. To be honest, I saw it coming.

He wasn’t happy when Governor Sheriff Oborevwori moved into the APC.

He became scared because of the value and impact Oborevwori brought to the party.

He knew he had no path to the governorship, which is why he settled for Delta Central Senate — knowing fully well he couldn’t win, since the people of Delta Central have seen the achievements of Sen. Ede Dafinone.

He boycotted the APC congress and primaries, disrespected the Governor, and hasn’t attended APC meetings since the Governor joined the party.

When he lost the primaries, he moved to Abuja working on his connections to turn the result but unfortunately, he connections failed and that is why he is moving to NDC.

I’m disappointed that Omo-Agege is moving from APC to NDC.

This will be one of his biggest political mistakes.

Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s achievements are enough to give APC candidates a strong advantage in the 2027 general elections.

In fact, if Sen. Ede Dafinone contests against Omo-Age in 2027, he can relax.

The 2023 governorship election, APC congress, and APC primaries already showed that Omo-Agege has lost touch with reality.

I know he’s hoping to ride on a “Peter Obi wave” and thinks it can carry him to victory since the elections are on the same day.

But this is 2027, not 2023. The political opportunities that worked then won’t play out the same way now.
Omo-Agege will be disappointed at the end of the day.

I also hear that Ned Nwoko is moving to NDC.
None of them pose a threat to APC in Delta State.
In fact, they’re welcome to the contest.

I know they’ll be disappointed — because I’m already disappointed in their decision.

Ossai ovie success ✍🏼
Both Omo Agege and Ned contested primaries already under APC, I doubt if they can contest again in another party based on the new electoral act..

Senator Ovie Omo-Agege’s Resignation From APC and Why Oborevwori Remains Stronger Ahead of 2027

By Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe Esq.

Political parties survive and grow on structures, leadership, grassroots acceptance, and public confidence, not on the ambitions of one individual.

That reality explains why the resignation of Senator Ovie Omo-Agege ,from the All Progressives Congress (APC) will neither weaken the party nor alter the growing political momentum of Governor Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori ,ahead of the 2027 governorship election.

Delta politics has evolved significantly in recent years with the emergence of Governor Oborevwori as the central rallying figure of progressive politics and grassroots governance in the state.

Today, the APC in Delta is broader, deeper, and more firmly rooted across the three senatorial districts than ever before. Its strength is anchored on a wide coalition of stakeholders, community leaders, youths, women groups, grassroots mobilizers, and citizens who identify with the governor’s leadership style, developmental approach, and inclusive governance philosophy.

That is why recent political developments have neither triggered panic within the APC nor disrupted its structure across the state. If anything, they have strengthened internal cohesion by consolidating the party around a clearer and more united political direction ahead of 2027.

Delta politics has clearly moved beyond the era where the fortunes of a political party revolve around one individual. What is emerging is a broader consensus built around stability, continuity, development, and inclusive governance under Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.

The current political reality in Delta State extends far beyond personal ambitions or media narratives. Governor Oborevwori’s growing political strength is not built on rhetoric or publicity, but on governance, accessibility, political maturity, and sustained grassroots engagement.

Across the state, the MORE Agenda continues to translate into visible projects in road infrastructure, healthcare, education, youth empowerment, rural development, urban renewal, and human capital advancement. Communities that once felt neglected are now experiencing direct developmental interventions with measurable impact on everyday life.

This has significantly expanded the governor’s acceptance beyond traditional political divides. More importantly, he has demonstrated uncommon capacity for inclusion, consensus-building, and political stability. His leadership style has strengthened unity within the APC while widening its reach into communities and blocs that previously stood outside its influence.

Across Delta State, political stakeholders, community leaders, youth groups, and even former opposition actors continue to align with the APC because they recognize where the political momentum ahead of 2027 is heading.

The reality of Delta politics remains unchanged: elections are won at the grassroots. No political platform in the state currently matches the ward-to-ward operational strength of the APC. That remains its biggest political advantage.

Speculations around new alignments ahead of 2027 also raise questions about political viability and electoral realism. Elections in Delta are not won by media presence or elite calculations alone, but through structured grassroots machinery, local government networks, polling unit coordination, and sustained voter engagement.

At present, emerging political platforms lack the statewide structure, institutional depth, and grassroots penetration required to challenge the APC’s growing political machinery under Governor Oborevwori. Building such capacity requires time, trust, and sustained organization, not momentum-driven announcements.

At a time when Delta State is experiencing political stability and visible development, many voters are increasingly inclined toward continuity rather than experimentation driven by personal ambition.

Even within political circles across the state, there is growing recognition that the future direction of Delta politics is steadily aligning around Governor Oborevwori and the APC.

Senator Ovie Omo-Agege’s resignation may generate temporary political commentary. It does not change the structure on ground. It does not alter the momentum. And it does not weaken the APC.

The APC remains the dominant grassroots political force in Delta State.

Governor Sheriff Oborevwori remains the central driver of that strength.

As 2027 approaches, the direction of political alignment is becoming unmistakably clear: continuity, consolidation, and expanding support for the governor and the ruling party in Delta State.

These guys keep exaggerating Tinubus appeal. They make the mistake of equating Tinubu with Buhari. Tinubus chances in the south look slimmer by the day. Chief Segun Osoba, arguably the closest confidante Tinubu has, lamented openly that the plurality of candidates in the south was a threat to Tinubus emergence. Coupled with that, they just don't how unpopular Tinubu is right now.
Don't you think you are hypocritical and funny?. If omo Agege defection is making Tinubu chances slimmer, what about the defection of Binani who is even more popular than Agege? What is more embarrassing than okowa leaving Atiku
