TheSuperNerd:Crazy they have only 4 midfielders and more defenders lmaoo, reminds me of those annoying days under Rohr and Peseiro when they listed only 4 midfielders and overload the defence and attack. |

🚨 BREAKING NEWS MILLWALL REJECT £20M IPSWICH TOWN BID FOR SUPER EAGLES FORWARD FEMI AZEEZ Millwall have rejected a £20 million bid from Ipswich Town for Super Eagles and Millwall forward Femi Azeez. The 24-year-old Nigeria international is under contract at The Den until 2028 and has attracted strong interest following an impressive campaign in the Championship, where he scored 11 goals and registered seven assists this season. Femi Azeez also made an instant impact on the international stage yesterday, making his Super Eagles debut in Nigeria’s 2–0 win over Zimbabwe in the Unity Cup semi-final, scoring both goals to send the team into the final. Millwall are holding out for a fee closer to £30 million for Azeez, given his age, form, and the length remaining on his contract. Ipswich Town are keen to strengthen their attack after securing promotion back to the Premier League, with manager Kieran McKenna looking to build a squad capable of staying up this time around. However, the Tractor Boys are not the only club interested. Aston Villa, Bournemouth, Crystal Palace, and Sunderland have also been linked with a move for Azeez.

Hmm. Rohr like squad with a midfield leaner than shakira's waist Altho zwane is essentially an AM. Broos likes playing 4-2-3-1 with forster as a lone striker so most of these forward players will play in the midfield anyways. Just as they did in their last world cup appearance 16 years ago they will once again open the tournament against mexico. Not holding any hope out for them altho mexico isnt really that big a deal again. TheSuperNerd: |

Think he has played in the euros for them already. These guys are already playing for their dream teams so i doubt they will find happiness playing in teams they dont like just because of lineage. National team assignment isnt as financially rewarding as club football so i guess playing for the countries they grew up in means a lot more to them than playing for one just because of racial heritage. To us the supporters its obviously not what we want but at the end of the day they will do what they feel is best for them. AndSunGorilla: |

Hmm. I wonder how many african football federations still exist as an extension of government as in still receives majority of its funding from the government rather than existing as a separate brand like the english FA, brazilian FA etc. Is there any at all that can stand alone? Goke7: |

Jonathan Spiff Asuzu, 19y/o Naija-argentine striker (CF) who declared for Nigeria last year played 12mins+ off the bench for River Plate in their 3-0 win vs Blooming (Bolivia) in the 2026 Copa Sudamericana first round group stage. It was his 2nd senior appearance for River Plate in the ongoing Copa Sudamericana after a 1min+ cameo debut on May 21. Below is a video of him and his father (Godwin Asuzu) in Nigeria holding a press conference and wishing the U20 Team well, reaffirming Jonathan's commitment to the Nigerian football team. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g5MYZ8ogAhI?feature=shared |
