Singer and rapper Ice Prince Zamani has disclosed that his heavy cannabis consumption cost him N340 million from just one supplier between 2020 and 2026, describing the habit as financially draining.

In a recent episode of the Black Box podcast, the artist whose real name is Panshak Zamani, opened up about the extent of his expenditure on marijuana prior to quitting.

“From 2020 to 2026, I have spent N340 million on weed from just one dealer alone, not to even mention my other dealers from Abuja, Ghana, Jos, and London. This is just one dealer, who lives close to me in Lagos,” he stated.

Ice Prince explained that the massive spending formed part of the reasons he decided to stop smoking.

He quit both weed and alcohol during a broader personal transformation that included a significant weight loss journey and self-discovery process.

The rapper also revealed that he has been practising celibacy for some time as part of his new lifestyle.

Ice Prince rose to prominence in the early 2010s as a leading figure in Nigerian hip-hop and Afrobeats. Known for hits like “Oleku” and “Aboki,” he has remained a consistent voice in the industry over the past decade.

While I know Nigerians can inflate things for hype, you can't determine the cost of anyone's addiction zed7. One person will spend millions on an item that's worthless to you, e no mean say dem no fit. It's what their mind is used for

I have a friend who is also son of a political figure in Nigeria.... immediately he smokes loud or cana he will automatically become generous....this guy spends over 300k daily on all mana of things, give away majorly. Friends and allied can be his major drainers not just him alone. So it's possible

No exaggeration there
Circa 2017 I and a buddy of mine was purchasing an ounce of loud 120k from a dealer @ Osapa London
With Conservative usage it usually lasted about a month and by conservative I mean lacing it with sk to amplify it (quantitywise), smoking twice a day - morning and night, being stingy to other smoke buddies etc etc.
That said , rhe average pothead would run through that same ounce in a week or 5 days tops and if you really wanna do quality weed then trust me the money na less.
