Re: Shaffy Bello's Blunt Advice To Women In Sex Work Amid Nigeria's Hardships by Fujiyama:
undecided

Rubbish.

Instead of challenging the evil systems in Nigeria that condemn young women to sell their bodies in order to survive, this woman is offering deadly advice - the kind of advice that kills.

Some people are saying 'context'. What context? The woman said those who are doing sex work should 'do it well'. undecided She says sex workers should 'do it with respect' (whatever the hell that means). undecided

Instead of using the platform she has to firmly hold leadership accountable, this woman is advocating utter confusion.

There are many women who empathize with sex workers (many sex workers are victims of trafficking and other crimes) and who actually commit their time and resources to helping those sex workers leave that life behind for good. You would never find those women urging 'runs' girls to 'run' with pride.

This Shaffy Bello woman is a menace.

What difference would it make if she tells women not to do ashawo, would they listen to her? So she gave the best advice under the current circumstances.

This is wrong, shameful, and very condemnable. It is also a satanic message.

Well, the poor woman can't give what she doesn't have.
It is a bitter truth 😞

Again, economic hardship may explain why people make certain choices, but it does not automatically make every choice wise, honorable, or worthy of encouragement.

Our values matter most when life becomes difficult, because hardship tests character, patience, and self-restraint. While we must be sensitive to the present economic conditions, our society must be careful not to normalize what harms dignity, peace of mind, or long-term well-being.

A wise person does not trade the greater good for a lesser gain.

Even in extreme conditions, people still make moral choices, sometimes at real cost to themselves.

Plenty of people in extreme hardship still stick to moral limits rather than crossing certain lines. Morality becomes harder to prioritize when survival is on the line and that is a tactic of this government, although that's a subject of another day. I won't revel in poverty competition but some people are poorer than Nigerians and still did not sell their morals.

You are the second person saying something like this on this topic. I don't know her to well, I know her as a movie maker but except the interviews she has given and I've watched, I don't know about her personal life or follow gossip. Are you insinuating what I'm thinking?
Re: Shaffy Bello's Blunt Advice To Women In Sex Work Amid Nigeria's Hardships by martinskelly(m): 11:07pm On May 28
This generation is really doomed.

Why is it that any type of celebrity will just come out both offline and online say anyhow rubbish and people that don't even understand what that celebrity is saying will be applauding them even if they are saying nonsense.

Why can't this generation think 🤔 na.

What's she saying is utterly rubbish and cacophony.

Just imagine this agbaya coming on a tv programme to spew such a nonsensical thing without even considering the negative effect it will have on our girls?

I don't really blame her, maybe she too cannot hold herself that's why she marry like 5 husbands and non still worked out for her.

Lol.. hook up girls will even marry before the so called decent girls.
No be Nigerian men and sex again?
A man with insatiable sexual appetite coupled with indiscipline must fall mugu.
It has been happening and will not end soon.

My own concern is the market structure. If there is no demand then supply of olosho service is meaningless. If Nigerian men truly hate this olosho thing as we read here then the demand should be very low grin grin
They only hate olosho on social media.
Offline, the case is different.

Thieves should do it well, they can rape and maim as they wish

Terrorists should do it well, they can have government contract

Thugs should do it well, they can become doctors

Electoral riggers should do it well, they can count 136 as 9000 votes

Bandits should do it well, they can always repent

A fraudster should scam people only long enough to escape poverty

A corrupt politician should embezzle strategically, then retire gracefully

A drug dealer should sell carefully and invest in a better future

A father would never let his daughter do something like that or even encourage her to do it. There is nothing like I don't judge.

What she is saying is wrong and it is more disappointing to see that there are young girls there in the studio. Anyway, Morayo and her husband de talk for the same show, let her ask her husband the same question. No sane man worth his salt will give such advice. Women and their dangerous advice. It should be condemned.

Circumstances can make someone be on the wrong path but she made no sense in saying stay there, do ashewo well but don't stay there. Shaffy, do not teach people to become comfortable with what harms them. There is nothing to understand there. You don't need to be liked to say the truth and be firm with it, you don't need to be politically correct. I am not going to preach because of the economy but economic factors have never been an excuse for us to lose our morality and dignity because we know the end as a people.

As a Yoruba woman, she should know better and promote the values of her culture than this misguided talk.
Na only the negative one you see baa

She spent most of her younger years in America, that Yoruba culture is no longer part of her.
