Nwaogu represented Osisioma Ngwa/Ugwunagbo/Obi Ngwa at House of Reps level. She hails from and lives in Osisioma Ngwa

Abia Central - Isiala Ngwa North, Isiala Ngwa South, Umuahia North, Umuahia South, Ikwuano

Now, she defeated Atuma in the PDP Primary of 2011. Atuma challenged the decision that Nwaogu hails from Osisioma, a LGA that is not in Abia Central. Atuma hails from Ntalakwu Oboro in Ikwuano LGA.

The High Court dismissed the matter, but the Appeal Court agreed with Atuma, the Supreme Court agreed with Nwaogu. From INEC delineation, Osisioma falls into Abia South, but Nwaogu produced results from 1999 where some parts of Osisioma is in Abia Central. INEC always recorded votes from that area under Abia Central, so the Supreme Court held they will follow results based on precedents and historical evidence.
