My people I need Assistant Please how do I set my xiaomi note 15 from announcing to my contacts that calls are been recorded, I don't have this problem with my Samsung |
| Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by Auskyd(m): 10:01pm On May 29 |
masterfactor:Start with why you are always recording calls first. Very sneaky behavior, but let's hear you out. |
| Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by masterfactor(m): 10:40pm On May 29 |
Auskyd:Nothing sneaky about it. I just like keeping a record so there are no misunderstandings. |

Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G Fingerprint Sensor is needed !!! |
| Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by Auskyd(m): 11:53pm On May 29 |
masterfactor:If that's the case, and there's nothing to hide, why not let the other person know you're recording the call? If you have a rebuttal for this, confirms its sneaky behaviour. I don't think I'd be comfortable taking to someone like you over the phone. |
| Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by masterfactor(m): 6:44am On May 30 |
Auskyd:I disagree. Choosing not to announce a recording doesn't automatically make someone sneaky or untrustworthy. In some situations, people record conversations to keep accurate records, avoid misunderstandings, or protect themselves. Whether it's appropriate depends on the context, the law, and the intentions involved. That said, I understand why you might feel uncomfortable if you weren't informed. Different people have different expectations about privacy and transparency, and it's okay to set your own boundaries about what you're comfortable with. |
| Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by searchng4love: 7:10am On May 30 |
masterfactor:It's criminal. You must seek active consent |
| Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by masterfactor(m): 8:58am On May 30 |
searchng4love:Have heard, can you show me how to set it up |
| Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by jiday4(m): 10:27am On May 30 |
masterfactor:No matter the adjectives or grammar you use, its sneaky if you dont want the other person to know you are recording them. I have someone like you in my office, i had to give him a serious warning before he stopped the silly act. Everyone deserves their privacy |
| Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by Auskyd(m): 11:43am On May 30 |
masterfactor:If you say so oh. No wahala. There's nothing transparent if you have to record calls without the consent and acknowledgement of the other person. Its wrong and you know it. |
| Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by Auskyd(m): 11:45am On May 30 |
jiday4:Bro the guy is genuinely scary. So comfortable with the intrusion of privacy, mehn. Half the time he won't be using it for good intentions. I am very confident about it. Hopefully he isn't asking on other threads. Lemme check and make sure so I can warn everyone not to oblige him. |

Good day house. Some1 wants to send me a Redmi note 15 pro + 5G... 16GB + 512GB. What I see here as highest is 12GB + 512GB so I enquired further and discovered that what he wants to send is a Chinese version of it because the Model no ends with C Instead of G. Can it work very well in Nigeria with Google Playstore and still cover our network here? What are the disadvantages and advantages? |

I no wan quote anybody but about the call recording issue, this argument of creepy or not creepy wouldn't be there if Google no implement the announcement that the call is being recorded. I think it's an EU thing. Wetin we go talk about all these Tecno phones wey no dey announce recording? Even my Samsung sef no dey announce before recording. And it's on auto record. Sometimes you may need to refer to calls to get some information. To me it's not creepy. Na the announcement make am creepy |

| Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by masterfactor(m): 11:40pm On May 30 |
Kennyflyair:@bolded is why I record call, I work in logistics and I receive alot of calls, I can't save all number, I always refer back to the recorded calls to get information on specific driver, I don't see what is creepy here. My Samsung and button phone record call without announce it. If I knew that this is how redmi operated, I wouldn't have purchase the phone |

freeman67:You will miss outon Bands 7, 20 which are used in a lot of locations in Nigeria by Glo and MTN. And you may not enjoy carrier aggregation where your device combines 2 or more bands to give you the best speeds when they are available. Also for playstore it will work but you may not be able to get full experience from some streaming apps. The long and short is stick with Global version |

It's most likely that Reading mode is activated. You can go to settings and search for reading mode and toggle around your preferred options. 0Brien: |

| Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by OVA200(m): 2:11pm On Jun 01 |
masterfactor:You are not conversing with kids here. If it's about getting information for future use then letting the person know you are recording won't be an issue. That is breach of privacy because the person might make some remark that is complete harmless based on the moment then the remark become implicating in the future. That's why court don't use secret recording as evidence, consent must be granted before it becomes admissible. In short and plain term, what you want to do is illegal and you can be sue if you are caught by your client. Or why do you think network provider announce it to you if you call their customer care agent. |

OVA200:Noted my elders |
| Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by OVA200(m): 4:04pm On Jun 01 |
masterfactor:I believe you can find better way around it instead of involving in illegality. One love big man. |
