esnbrutality:Just say the Nigerian spirit, not necessarily Igbo. Nigerians excel wherever. We are determined, we have the tenacity and the strength that will see the grit through. An average Nigerian doesn't back down. |

MemoriesAndMe:THE NAME OGAZI HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE YORUBAS AND FULANIS, ITS AN IGBO NAME. |

I should share your optimism, but dude, how can you be proud of a nation that celebrates and elects criminals, who rise to power as leaders, not based on meritorious performance but on tribal and religious extremism. If the guy was a drug dealer, ritualist, smuggler, will they claim him to be Nigerian? Immediately, they will tell you he is IGBO, but same people stereotyping IGBOs, elected and supported TINUBU that was mentioned in drug cases in USA. That country needs a very brutal reset or it divides totally, so each unit/region develops at their own pace. Nigeria is seriously shaking ...placeofallure: |

APOSTLECHUMA:Thanks for letting me know. Letter 'Z' is not in Yoruba dialect anyways, other ethnic groups may have it in theirs though, how the poster could tell the athlete's hometown from just his name is what baffles. |

esnbrutality:I like to be objective. Nobody stereotyped anybody. The truth is bitter for many people to swallow. My Yoruba people will say: Ootọ ọrọ, ọmọ ìyá isọkusọ ni. I won't be economical with the truth. Are Ibos not more into drugs than any other tribe? Are Yorubas not ritualistic more than any other tribe? Are Hausas not the bandits and terrorists killing people up and down? When dey give you your own, just collect am take rub body. My own too dey my body. As for Tinubu, can you swear say your kinsmen no vote for am? Nigerians, all tribes inclusive voted for Tinubu. In my heart of hearts, if you ask me, Obi can't do better with Nigeria than Tinubu Is doing. Lastly, there are bad Nigerians, especially in governance. Now, does that change your nationality to Canada, England or even Ghana? Are there still not good people in Nigeria? I have some Ibo friends that I don't ever joke with no matter what. For the sake of those ones, and the good people of Nigeria that I've never crossed paths with, but are doing their little bits to make the world a better place, I will always be proud of Nigeria. Until Nigeria divides or a major change happens to her, I remain a proud Nigerian. Mods, you could ban me, I care less. Truth must be told without mincing words. I won't be that person. |
