Broo!!!
My belief in Chelle and this team is over the roof!!
How he improves players is his biggest strength in my opinion..

He brought back Alhassan and platformed him greatly
Dude be looking like a solid EPL midfielder
See that second goal na??

His scouting is also topnotch!
His game management and team building is excellent

Painful we missed the WC
We should be winning the next 2 AFCONs

Give Chelle a 5 year contract!
Pay his salary and allow him work!!

Azeez is really really good. His crosses from left foot are always on point. Freekick deliveries as well. What he needs to improve on is his take-ons in 1v1 situations.

He dey try sometimes
He can shield the defense well, spray passes and a has good eye for goals
My brother Na lie
Remember when Ndidi was out of form and SE fans were glamoring for Ndidi to be dropped for Onyedika? All the SE coaches that came at that time we're still using Ndidi over him, including Chelle. Then come Onyeka into the SE and because of his performance, the SE coaches had to start playing 3 midfielders just to accommodate Onyeka and sometimes Dele Bashiru. There was never a time any SE coaches had to create space just to accommodate Onyedika in the starting lineup, that should tell you he brings nothing to the team

Thanks for raising this up. He would have played back ball more than 100times.
To dribble na wahala, no inspiration in the midfield.
I swear . No wonder he is still at Club Brugge after 10 years 🤣
Not even any of the spur top teams in Turkey is looking to buy him.
With Alhassan and Nnadi displays in this Unity Cup, I won't be surprised if in the soon to be line doesn't include Onyedika anymore. Ndidi, Onyeka, Iwobi, Dele Bashiru, Alhassan and Nnadi

But i wont forget how we cried our lungs out, when Onyedika started that semifinal vs Morocco, bro was just being dispossessed any how that night…i think Alhassan has more fire power and lungs to do more job in that role that Onyedika…even against SA at the afcon, though his tackle led to a penalty, but Alhassan was really solid in that 2023 semifinal

Philip Otele is a fine player on that left channel. Aside his assist for the Yusuf second goal which was well weighted and well timed, he brings a presence and energgy to the LW when onfield. Interesting player.

He can still work on his frequency of touches though. Sometimes he takes one or two touches too many to execute certain actions and it can soil his decision making.
Please what setup did eric chelle use over this past 2 games, is it his preferred diamond or he tried something new?

Please the likes of Ndidi, Iwobi, and Simon Moses, and Ajayi can play one more AFCON as send-off and be moved along for the likes of Femi, Nnadi, Tijani, Otele to take over...Alhassan, Onyeka and Onyedika can provide the experience from midfield. Attack is already blessed with Lookman, Akor, Moffi and Osimhen and Femi.

I completely agree
Suddenly our midfield no longer seems a cause for concern...
God go bless Chelle o

If them allow me, I fit follow contribute for him salary, and I'm serious

see as Chelle use this team C carry unity cup, something we laboured hard on penalties last year….These set of guys knock ball around so calmly…even when the Jamaicans seems to wanna do some gra gra, our boys were so calm…
It was like that year when we played spain at the confederation cup where mikel was spreading passed and attacking the spanish team, but thw spanish team showed us that they are way way technical and better than us..we were biting Spain once a while but they wey patching us with clean goals
Onazi and victor Moses were a major miss at the confederation cup, if those players we’re available, just perhaps

Alhassan has intensity. I think he'd have done a better job in that midfield than Onyedika did against Morocco.

Chelle wants to create a large pool of players who can be deployed anytime. Football is unpredictable. An injury here or there and your whole team comes undone. But with a large pool of players who understand your system, you can have some measure of assurance even when one or two players are out with injury

Wow, look at how people are already downgrading our first eleven because this team won a team that is ranked 71th on FIFA ranking and also did not parade their strongest players. Someone is even pushing for the likes of Iwobi to be phased out. Sure there are some positives to take away from the tournament but I think some of you are overdoing this already. Calm down o

Majorly the Diamond system and a mix of few other formation structures in certain game phases.

442/4312 diamond (first half) + 4231 (Later 2nd half) in the first game vs Zimbabwe.

Vs Jamaica, 442/4312 diamond from the start and all through until Otele came in for Femi Azeez on 78mins and it tweaked to a kind of 4231 or 433 with Alhassan moving even further forward.

After this game I'm beginning to question the cohesive trio of
-Alex Iwobi
-Onyedika
-Ndidi and
-Frank Onyeka.
What have we been doing with this midfield for the last 4yrs??
Alex Iwobi, Wilfred Ndidi and Frank Onyeka retains their places in the starting lineup.

What Alhassan, Tijani, and Nnadi will achieve in five sequences of passes, Alex Iwobi can achieve in one stroke of a pass.
However, the only advantage that i saw in Alhassan, Tijani and Nnadi is in the cover they provide to the backline, their recovery rate is good, as well as their positioning during phases of defense.

I doubt if Akinsanmiro will ever get any call from Chelle again.
I know how coaches think. Eric Chelle's mind has been sealed about him, and it will take Ebenezer Akinsamiro moving to a top 5 league and putting up world-class performances for his club next season for him to receive another chance. Coaches expect young talents like him to be extremely hungry and eager to go when an opportunity presents itself, and his lack of hunger has sealed his fate with Eric Chelle. If Akinsamiro was hungry enough for this opportunity, this unit cup was a golden opportunity that was presented to him. His main competitors in the Super Eagles were not there, and this would have been an opportunity for him to come in, ball out, and show the coach he is ready for the big-time games for the main Super Eagles. He played his last game for Pisa on Friday and should have been in camp by Saturday evening at the latest. I told you guys a couple of days ago that I would be shocked if he saw a minute of action in this Unit Cup again. Tochukwu Nnadi and Yusuf seized their opportunities and are now clearly ahead of Akinsamiro in the packing order. It is really irritating because I think Akinsamiro is really talented and has the potential to be a world-class midfielder. I really have the hope that Tochukwu Nnadi and Akinsamiro will marshal the Super Eagles midfield in the next 10 years, and I was eager to see their play in this unit cup. Tochukwu Nnadi is really evolving, and dude is going places if he keeps his head down, stays humble, and continues working on his game. That boy is a proper baller.
