I don't know if UPEI,SENECA is okay for him. Diploma 2 year course with PGWP. i saw Seneca school websites, But UPEI is Business administration so I don't know if you know much about these schools. Though I have researched more on them Seneca is the cheapest in tuition etc. but I will try these school you Listed out now. Thanks once again. Also how do student pay for application fee which card is acceptable I have fidelity bank cooperate USD card and naira MasterCard I don't know if it work for me to pay on his behalf. My application fee then was waived 😊 Lucky me but this one now I don't know if is through normal MasterCard etc. I saw payment by convera through UPEI but the service charge is $37.51 USD. Please help out thanks

Schools application varies. When I applied, a school in Ontario took 6 days to give me offer. Another one in same Ontario took 3 days. The longest one was the one in Nova Scotia. It took a month plus because that one involved virtual interview.

As for visa, the processing time for people applying from Nigeria is currently 6 weeks. You can make it. Schools open officially for Fall intake in September.

I have a quick question. If I use a professional mentor, someone I have worked with for several years and who holds a senior position in the energy sector, which is closely related to my field of study, as my sponsor, would that be considered strong enough for my application?

Also, is there a recommended format or template for a sponsorship letter that the sponsor should follow?

Felicia. Your friend should stop dictating preferences on DLI or PGWP because he is just 19 yr old with only waec certificate in arts not even outstanding in science subjects.

If he is not financially buoyant he can opt for U.S.A towards summer/fall 2027 because U.S institutions are the most flexible , affordable which also gives some entrance scholarships.

If he is adamant for Canada he should drop college idea because he wont smell the visa with his profile . He should go for Bsc/BA courses in any public universities.

Memorial University is one of my picks for him. Be careful of easy and sweet recommendations.

Yes you can use the professional mentor as your sponsor but your mentor must provide a separate SOP regarding what he or she would benefit from your study.

There is no Universal or mandated or recommended format template for a sponsorship letter. The only rule is that the letter must be a formal letter not to be written like an informal letter that you are writing to your friends or family.

I currently have a Canadian visitor visa valid until 2034. My wife’s visa will expire this year, one of my sons has a visa that expires in 2029, and my other child does not have a Canadian visa yet.

At the moment, I have about CAD 70,000 available. I also have about CAD 30,000 equivalent in a retirement account in Nigeria. My current monthly income is about €3,000, and I recently secured a new contract that should increase my income by about €1,000 per month after tax.

Coincidentally, I received an admission for a Master’s program this week, and I am currently in Canada (only me) on a visit, but I will be leaving in three weeks. Based on the advice I have been receiving, I am considering placing CAD 30,000 into a GIC from the CAD 70,000 I currently have. This should be easy for me to do since I already have funds in Canada.

I have also paid the school deposit today. Whenever I visit Canada, I usually leave the same day I declare at the port of entry (POE).

Do you have any advice on whether this approach makes sense (I and family reside in Nigeria at the moment) or if there are other things I should consider?

Hi, sorry I'm writing late, been working on a lot of things lately. I am about to submit my application, the country's residence permit I have is Poland, I'm applying from Poland. My question is, the tax return documents are in Polish language, do you think I should submit it like that or seel the service of a certified translator to translate them? I checked with a certified translator and the quotation they gave me is a lot, probably because the 3 years tax return comes with a lot of documents, I'm not sure if the visa officer will look at them if I submit the one with only Polish language, every other financial documents are in English/includes English translation, but only the tax return documents are in Polish language only, no English translation.

What do you think please?

Yes, please add your tax returns with your name and all relevant information on them.

This is

(1) Bank statements for the last 6 months ( I don't know how banks in the country do it but in nigeria you ask bank for bank statement and official bank reference letter)

(2) Tax returns for the last 3 years

(3) Pay stubs for the last 6 months

(4) Your employment letter

(5) include a letter explaining how you saved the amount of money and calculating your projected saving and cost of things and how much you have to make payment for everything 

You can attach all this document into one as POF

As for the school fee payment, before making any payment, email the school and explain that you would like to apply for a student visa before July. Mention that you would like to make an initial payment of about $4,000 CAD to your student account to show IRCC that you are committed to the program.

Tell them you want to use this initial deposit as proof of commitment and financial capability for your visa application. Make the email professional.

The school will likely agree and provide your student number, student account details, and payment instructions.

I know that 15% of $16,000 is about $2,400, but ask the school what amount they recommend. In my opinion, do not pay more than $4,000 CAD because, if the visa is refused God forbid the school should refund your exact payment amount according to their refund policy. That is why it is important to email the school first.... if they say pay the whole $16,000 that's also ok as long as the school said you should make the payment

If they do not allow the payment, you can still use the email response as proof to IRCC that you were willing to make an initial deposit to show commitment.

If they agree and you make the payment, make sure you get an official receipt from your student account showing that the payment was made...I am sure you can download the receipt from the school portal

IRCC understands that people can have money sitting in their accounts, but they also want to see willingness to actually spend the money on tuition, because sometimes the money may not truly belong to the applicant.

In your case, you are trying to show IRCC that the money belongs to you and that you are genuinely willing and able to pay for your education.
