Karlovich:It was goal bound before Enyeama used his right hand to tip the ball onto the goal post. It was even a debate then on why using right hand instead of the left hand to tip the ball when the shot was played to his left side. |

TheSuperNerd:This is not about disrespecting Nwabali seff. It's not today I've always been saying I prefer Nwabali to Okoye if both are available and fit. Yesterday, Okoye proved why he's one of the best Serie A goalkeepers, na cracker goal everybody dey use crucify am forgetting the scoreline would've been like 4 goals in favour of Poland. How everyone (at least you are even talking about the other saves, A LOT of people are not) chose to focus on that last goal dey burst my head seff. That's one of the best performances I've seen from a Nigerian goalkeeper in a while. Coming second after Nwabali vs. DR Congo. I no wan even argue this thing again. Make we go beat Portugal ASAP make Ronaldo calm down small before World Cup start. |

| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by BankyGee(m): 7:17am On Jun 04 |
Papi85:E get some goals wey them no dey blame GK for. I got mad we drew in the last minute, but the goal worth am. What a spectacle! As Poland and Nigeria no go World Cup them suppose at least use that goal as World Cup advert make we seff show somehow 😂 You know how good a goalkeeper has to have been in a match that the opposition defender just decides to attempt a shot from distance like that? As them no fit score am several times on 1-v-1. |

Papi85:Nwabali hate was getting out of hand too and we know it’s because he doesn’t play in Europe What I see is fans of both keepers going at each other and this has to stop |

MetalJigsaw:you're very correct, I wanted Adam to be subbed at half time but not for Onuachu, he doesn't press well under Chille's system. Even Iheanacho can press a lot better that him and offer more goal and assist threats. Chelle should be inviting Iheanacho instead. |

People blaming okoye for that goal are so funny. lol. That was a screamer. Top goalies concede goals like that. With that nasty swerve. What exactly is okoye expected to do here? Grow his arm a few more inches in 0.02 secs? |

Okoye's double save and 1v1 stop after Zaidu's ridiculous backpass will always live rent free in my head. He was really brilliant vs Poland. It's just unfortunate that Misniewski's strike will also not be forgotten. That is the kind of strike that leaves its mark or dent on a GK's performance. Up to him to learn from it. BankyGee: |

Karlovich:Oga,why bringing Nwabali has not faced European team to this,Enyeama as home based keeper faced England in World Cup as a rookie...fact Nwabali is better than Okoye. |

TheSuperNerd:Also, against Russia last year, he did very well. I believe those criticising are just mad at him because of the time the goal was conceded, 5 seconds to the end of the match, quite painful. |

Papi85:HATE again,Oga Charly, this thread has outgrew the word hate.. yes a screamer but not to the edge,i think he can do better next time, well it was a friendly not a competitive match. |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by minfelix(m): 9:06am On Jun 04 |
Very Bias Nairaland thread Okoye die hard fans= dont blame Okoye for that goal bla bla bla Uzoho concedes same screamer and they will go blind of how the shot changed in its trajectory and wont even give Uzoho chance to explain him self🤣🤣 If that same long range shot beat Nwabali, just come and see how clamour for Okoye will arise almost immediately 🤣🤣. I no dey take many die fans serious here again, there most loving player can never do wrong…they dont like to be challenged…..just challenge them and their die hard players and watch them call you hater(agenda must agend🤣) Person play shot from almost midfield centre line traveling from Oshodi through Lekki and landing inside your net you dey tell me nonsense (trying to now blame Onuachu for giving the player time and space)….na em b say i fit wire hot shot from midfield during training make e beat Okoye b that(Okoye is an amazing keeper but man still has alot to learn abeg |

123jamessmith:He is decent. His style of play is offensive rather than defensive CB. It depends on the kind of formation a coach wants to play maybe 3-5-2 suits him better. Defensively Nwaiwu is better; he can track, mark and not prone to unnecessary mistakes unlike Fernandez. |

| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Goke7: 9:18am On Jun 04 |
minfelix: I just dey imagine if na Uzoho concede last night, nothing wey we no go hear from all these okoye fans, abeg hypocrites too full for this place. Why am I not blaming Okoye? It's because he showed up, unlike in Afcon, where he gave excuses. He should be encouraged, but please, all these he's the best because he plays in Serie A should be thrown into the trash can. I know how, during World Cup qualifiers and Afcon, Nwabali was getting bashed left, right and centre even from journalists, thank God Chelle na man, another coach for don drop the keeper. Okoye should use this opportunity to establish himself as the number one for as long as Nwabali is away, and pray he continues to get lucky; if not, he should ask his senior brother Uzoho how far. |

ThunderFireAgba:both defenders are not the same with different playing style and profile Fernandez is more calm, press resistant and a lovely passer of the ball who can effortlessly bring out the ball from the defence to the midfield and attack. He is similar to greats like Hierro, Tony Adams, Ferdinand, Pique, Bonucci and currently Van Dyke While Nwaiwu is a robust, hard tackling no nonsense CB who is willing to put his body on the line to defend a goal. He is similar to CB’s like Sktel, Vidic, Ramos,Terry,Chellini etc |

For now,Okoye doesn't have what it takes to match Nwabali's exploits in the last two AFCON |

Goke7:I really wish Okoye has that stubborn mentality of Nwabali…this Okoye im seeing na Victor Moses younger brother…with some matchday unluckiness posing at him, that guy fit retire from super eagles at age 27🤣🤣…. Omo Nwabali no send anybody papa ohhh…you people will blame and bash him tire, wen its matchday it wont stop him from making a calm save and sleeping on the ball for 2hours before releasing it back into play ooo….even the Lesotho howler we use bashing finish that guy here in nairaland….The only thing Nwabali does is he always have a way to win back the heart of millions through his penalty heroics…He has a strong mentality…. i read one moniker here saying “If im Okoye i will just retire from super eagles”🤣🤣hahahaha i read another person replying him saying “If okoye retire nobody go notice am or even feel am”… you dey wine Nigerian football tray? players and goalkeepers full the tray oo |

Good game from the guys over all yesterday. Even Onyedika wasn't bad yesterday. We need good reinforcements at the LB, Zaidu isn't it. Bewene tried but he obviously isn't ready. |
