Negotiate with those god damn terrorists Let those children and teachers go home first Since the bandits are bigger than us, let the country be setting funds aside in the annual budget for such negotiations Failed government that cannot protect its citizens |

I support them wholeheartedly. Let's deal with those monsters once and for all. Yar'Ardua started this ugly practice of appeasing terrorists when he handed billions to armed criminals in the creeks instead of decimating them. Then Buhari took it 10 notches higher with his Fulani terrorist brothers. Today, that monster is about to overrun the entire country. Let's deal with them decisively. |

If their children and relatives were among the people abducted will they still have the same opinion? This government has failed in protecting the citizens. And we citizens too are cowards. Those bandits are still in the forest of oyo state. If 1 million people bombard that forest, the children will be rescued and bandits eliminated. But fear fear will not allow us go that path. We will rather watch some rag tag boys terrorise us and we pay them ransom. |

It's a pity how Nigerian government negotiate with terrorist, when the ransom is paid,it will be used to buy more ammunition and recruite more members, thereby encouraging terrorism indirectly .. |

What's even the work of DSS for crying out loud?if our Nigeria security agencies lack the proper required tools to track bandits, why can't they buy them? What's all the bogus security budgets for? But if na one Smallie social media influencer wey no get even kitchen knife say anything ill about the government, it won't take them 48hrs to track that person and have him arrested even if the person is living inside sea |

Why it's important to note that no one want to lose his relatives to kidnappers ,the government body language should never be negotiation but threats to avoid future occurrences . |

The state government want to negotiate with them and give them more power, a time bomb. Local vigilante, Amotekun, Agbekoya, OPC,. Military, Police and also Igboho is there that the governor can secretly dialogue for the rescue without news carrying him but negotiation with kidnappers is what they want , okay.. I like as some of the house rejected it.. |

This is the best time for Oÿo state to do the needful ...don't negotiate with those terrorists ..once they do ,then they have opened up an avenue for business in oyo state ..yesterday, kids and their mother were kidnapped at challenge...that shows some entities within the state can even start kidnapping low key to get few millions too .cos if terrorist who take 40 people gets 100 million, that means taking one or two people will bring in few millions atleast...the simple reason why this kidnap keep gaining more grounds is because none of it has been foiled and federal government have been paying ...any day a version kidnaps someone and they get cut then that will start sending a message to the perpetrators that ...once u kidnap you can be caught even if u use humans has shield.. Although this sounds very inhumane for this innocent kids in the bush cos they are going through hell. .but it always starts like this in every state insecurity has taken over... It's better they face it headlong in oyo and send a message or be prepared to keep paying |

Isobug:And who tell you people that those children are outside in d Bush? Do you know where they are? You people will be talking anyhow because you people hate the president. Those kidnappers have a house where they keep their abducted ones They only bring them out from the house only when they want to make videos of them |
| Re: Oyo Lawmakers Oppose Call For Negotiation With Kidnappers Of Students, Teachers by Thomanad(m): 11:13am On Jun 04 |
The lawmakers are not serious. If it were their children and family members that were abducted, would they be saying this? It also so saddening that our security agencies are inept and bereft of sound security advice. From what was gathered so far, the security agencies know the location of this bandits already. So the simple solution here is..... Pay them whatever they demand whilst still keep tabs on their every movement. Immediately the teachers and children are released, then you move in and blow the idiots to smithereens. Is that too much to phantom? |
| Re: Oyo Lawmakers Oppose Call For Negotiation With Kidnappers Of Students, Teachers by Olu1000: 11:13am On Jun 04 |
Zionmdde:They should never pay them.Buhari government paying bandits and terrorists led us to where we are now.If they pay this set of bandits, others will abduct students too in other states and demand funds as well.Even this same group will abduct again when they finish lavishing whatever they get now.The government should locate the bandits and neutralize them. There may be some casualties among the victims but they would have paid the supreme sacrifice. |

.... the logistics of moving 39 people mostly children in the bush without being caught is insane ! either police/army is not serious about catching them or their ogas are complicit to begin with !! |
| Re: Oyo Lawmakers Oppose Call For Negotiation With Kidnappers Of Students, Teachers by Ekaka14: 11:17am On Jun 04 |
I feel very sorry for the Victims but negotiating with terorists is "the easy way out" and a tool for encouraging subsequent kidnappings across the nation...Government should go ALL OUT to secure the telease of the Victims and make sure they capture or neutralize this groups to send a clear message that no none-state actors can hold an entire nation or its citizens to ransome...😞 If however, they assess the Situstion as too risky for the Victims and security men then they can also use any surveillance technology ( we can hire a foreign security company with experience in asymmetrical warfare to assist) to track the "marked or chipped money" to be delivered so they can leave a trail for their eventual arrest....worse case scenario |
