There shall be no ending to this so long as Nigeria continues The Parliaments in the SW should rather be debating for declaration of Oduduwa Republic from Nigeria. One side of Nigeria adopted unconstitutional Islamic sharia criminal justice system, since then, their foot soldiers have been fighting for an Islamic Republic of Nigeria to be governed with Sharia criminal justice system. |

There is unconfirmed report that tally to what Oyo state speaker Debo Ogundoyin said about what the bandits really want to release the school children and their teachers 1. 1 billion naira to be paid to one account in Benin republic 2. The Oyo state government should released the other bandits in Agodi and Agunponpo prison 3. 2 Toyota Hilux 4. Concession of some oyo state law in favour of the bandits ( maybe Sharia law ) I really know that Governor Seyi Makinde is not a cruel person a once best governor in Nigeria At this stage if this report are true then we need international help to secure the release of those children and their teachers cos this is actually politics And again the people that brought sheik Gunmi to Ibadan will not reap what they sow they will never have rest of mind !! This matter is very sensitive, highly sensitive indeed. This has to do with the lives of innocent children as young as 2! A well thinking Government would have moved in quickly to resolve the issue, but here we are at 19+ days and yet Government is dilly-dallying on force or negotiations! It's a pity. |

Hussein035:No negotiation with kidnappers. A sad story of a young girl who was kidnapped and then asked to call her father for ransom. She told her father not to pay anything as she can't live with herself as she was r*ped each night. The kidnappers killed her on the spot. There are several instances of after collecting a ransom the Bandits end up killing the abducted. The government needs to see the dangers of negotiating with kidnappers. It never ends well. Once the security agencies have a zero tolerance for bandits and they know that there be no negotiations with them kidnapping will reduce. The cashless policy is also important to curb large cash movement. |

I don't even like the sound of the below words when it involves Nigerian government and this bandits, kidnappers and terrorists. Negotiations Dialogue Integration Just find a way and send them to the great beyond, others will learn instead of empowering them with those stupid idea up there. |

The Federal government - APC brought lots of them to make Nigeria ungovernable in the run up to the 2015 elections against GEJ, promised them land and sharia all over NC and SW, then discarded them after winning. If na you, u no go vex? When Sai baba said baboons and dogs will be soaked in blood and an attack against Boko Haram is an attack against the North, what did you think he meant? In 2015, we had just Boko Haram, in the 11 years since then, we've had Mahmuda, Lakurawa, Ansaru and an ever growing number of powerful bandit commanders - Kachalla, Dogo, Gide, etc The number of NA generals/colonels killed under Tinubu by terrorists is greater than the number of generals/colonels killed during PDP 16 year rule. Presently a General and his wife are living la vida loca in Katsina forest with bandits.MemphitzDgreat1: |

They are already surrounded. The security agencies know where they are but they are using the children as shield. It's a delicate situation at the moment. saintkel: |

They need to be rescued, not negotiated for. The universally accepted option under these circumstances is not to negotiate with terrorists. They'd simply use the paid ransome money buy more weapons, supplies and recruit more foot soldiers to support a larger, more efficient terror base in that community. What they need actually is a response of same or more brutality. That's all that can send the clear message. |

Call me insensitive, I don't give a rats azz. What is the most lucrative business in Nigeria today? Dangote refinery is not even a quarter as profitable as kidnapping. My own take is that this kidnapping in Oyo state will serve three important lessons. Course 101 - FOUR LEGS GOOD, TWO LEGS BAD Course 202 - FOUR LEGS GOOD, TWO LEGS BETTER Course 303 - ELECTIONS HAVE CONSEQUENCES I can bet my 3rd balls that those twins kidnapped in this same Oyo state, nephews of the Minister of darkness will be released before the 42 pupils. Who wan bet? But personally, I want them to negotiate with both sets of kidnappers and pay ransom, then make kidnappers chop the money clean mouth, kpai everybody. Atleast for once in the history of Nigeria, let the poor and the rich cry together, maybe the spell cast on Nigerians will finally be broken. NB: If you are quoting me to ask if I would say the same thing if my kids were involved, my answer is YES and AMEN to any prayer point for my kids to be kidnapped. Pay bandits transport make dem go Solihull go kidnap them. #ELECTIONSHAVECONSEQUENCES blackmantis:

Emeskhalifa:My sense is that the DSS is up and doing. I don't think that tracking IS the problem now. Quite often, they know where these idiots are keeping their victims. What we seem to lack is RESPONSE capacity. It seems our TACTICAL units are ill-equipped or clueless. So you don't see them mounting RESCUE OPEATIONS like SAS or Navy Seals. Only God can save us now. |

The lives of Nigerians will never remain the same again after this crisis. The terrorists might execute all their hostage and this will lead to a national crisis that will cause a change of government across the whole country. There might be no election till further notice ... ... |

That may not be the solution . Do not do we get the bandits are not afraid to die so it will not take them anything to bomb themselves including the innocent victims. Negotiate with them , get the victims and come back to destroy them with high tech intelligence surveillance. tunjijones: |

Track their location, go in hot, and neutralize them. Some of those kidnapped will die anyway, some are probably already dead. These deliberations are just wasting time. You can't save them all. The plan should be to save as many as you can. Sensible governments don't negotiate with terrorists, only failed ones do. |

See them... Because none is their friend or relatives... However, the last time I check time to lose life with gun/ammunition is less than a minute. Make they continue the dialogue. Bandits and kidnappers wey they never fit tracked in decades, they want use politics now intensified there whereabout. SlavaUkraini: |

I still don't get how this people move with their captives without being seen or how do they feed or source for water.... The terrorists themselves would be over 40+ plus another 40+ captives..... Even if they are in the bush they will constantly be needing resources how do they get those resources? |
