I am also from that part of the country and will attest that our grandads told us terrible tales about rogue Biafran soldiers. In fact, Joseph one of the Mandators reggae group watched his family executed by rogue Biafran soldiers who came to steal their money in their villages.

War brings out animalistic tendencies in Humans which is why it should be avoidable. Most of the soldiers sneak from their camps into minority villages and rape women, kill men and loot villages. Go and read Graham-Douglass book titled "Ojukwu's rebellion and international opinion".
