The fact that they want Sharia in Oyo state proves it. We need community policing, not state police. Each neighborhood should be allowed to set up their own security networks and arm them. We must forget about relying on state or federal. They've proven to be useless against these bandits. That's the way forward.

Let private security networks be registered under the state for compliance. But now each community has the opportunity to take their own protection in their own hands. And bring back local government autonomy.

Thankfully, the muslim scholars of Oyo state have unanimously advised the government against this frivolous demand. Kidnapping is not a way to spread Islam. And never ever will it be. It is an act of terrorism and under the Islamic law itself, capital punishment is recommended for it. In peace loving, emotional intelligence, love for neighbors, respect for sanctity of life, we are even better than those who brought those religion with primitive leaders and prophets whose morality and characters are highly questionable.

They dont need to make it a law, they simply wage war. They are doing it already, kidnap young children and teach them radical islam. Young kids are the easiest prey. U dont understand? They are actually teaching those kids radical islam.
They also attach rural communities, slaughter people, they run and leave their lands, those radical Islamist occupy it as they are doing now. Over the years, those occupied communities become muslim communities. These are the strategies. Also, put fear in u, u run out of Nigeria, the more u run, the happier they are.

The first church started in Turkey - church of St. Peter (at Antioch). Today, Turkey is one of the most islamic countries in the world. Read about the Ottoman empire. The sultan of Sokoto is following the same script.

We don't need to be dragging this. Just do your research on how Christianity came to Southwest and the strategies used to convert people. Don't forget to tell us the religions people were practicing then. Forget about the North. Limit your research to Southwest.
