Ex-Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, Babachir Lawal, has said that the presidency of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, is synonymous to Fulani presidency.

Lawal, who recently resigned from the ADC over an allegation of flawed primary election, stated this in a post on his Facebook page late Saturday.

He said his first post on Atiku, who he described as ‘Kachalla’, has made almost the whole of Nigeria’s Fulani race to descend on him with all manner of insults and threats.

“Atiku’s presidency will be synonymous to a Fulani presidency even as Bola Tinubu’s presidency is synonymous to a Yoruba presidency and the Yorubas are proud of him no doubt.

“The vile propaganda, insults and threats that the Atiku’s goons and social media bandits have been churning out on me because as they claim, I have insulted the whole Fulani race in pointing out his fallibility.

“Well, if pointing out the danger an Atiku’s presidency will pose to the country amounts to insulting the whole Fulani race, and if that is how the Fulani race chooses to see it, so be it. It is a free world,” Lawal said.

If I'm getting what this dude is saying clearly. Is that atiku's government would be tribalistic and nepotistic. This I beg to disagree on as atiku is the least tribalistic of all the candidates contesting the position at the moment.


His records are there and the evidence clear. They are a lot of things you can accuse atiku of but being a bigot is not one of them.


Secondly, atiku's followers are not toxic and as insultive as the other two major contenders. ( you know who)


Sometimes I feel atiku's supporters are too calm as they hardly react negatively with threats and violence especially the way other supporters do. Atiku's criticism often are also objective and on point!

because of the complexity of our country, if we want to base on competence, a northerner, will never smell power, because the most competence Nigerians are in the south.

so turn by turn would balance and check power.

I don't believe northerners would not smell power Sha based on competence nor that the most competent Nigerians are in the south.


Nigeria is complex though is the only thing I agree on with you. And the kind of politics we practice encourages the wrong people in politics.


Ideas like this turn by turn politics is one of the reasons why we are where we are as a nation.


We can't keep doing things the wrong way and expect a different result. Change from the norm is the only thing that can bring progress to us as a nation.


If you had a company would you run it based on the best and most capable people in the right positions or will you fill it up with incompetent people just because they are your tribal and kinsmen?



Little things like this are what make or break a company and make them fold up in short time as in this case country.


As I dey like this I don't care who is president. All I want is a working country that is prosperous to all , that reaches it full potential and a pride amongst the committee of nations.


I want to be able to walk anywhere and be proud to be called a Nigerian!

Competent people are in all region, stop making issue out of it, if you allow few tribes rule under the guise of competence, it has it own effect, besides remember this Africa, you know how sectionalism and bigotry works in this part of the world, except you don't want to comprehend.
