Coming from enemy camp
I wanted Ronaldo to be the oldest to score but I realised that if he scores this world cup, he still wouldn't be the oldest, that's why I gave it to him in 2030 world cup. I hope you get me right.

If he scores, he will be the first to score in 6 world cups. I believe the record of scoring in 5 world cups is still there but might not survive again because there is a possibility Messi will score, but nobody has even scored in 5 talkless of 6 world cups apart from him. Both men took playing at a high level for long to another level.
Re: FIFA World Cup Records Yet To Be Broken by wallrichy: 5:48pm On Jun 07
That's probability. Coach can't determine who wins or lose. I believe England could win even with that German coach....records are meant to be broken my brother......

judewrites:
For the number I record, that means england won't win the world cup this year because they have a foreign German coach.

It's a pity....I have always supported england in international tournaments.

What about Brazil? I had a feeling they might win this world cup, but can they with a foreigner coach?

Okocha with the highest number of dribble in a single world cup match against Italy in 1994 should be among the list. Let's celebrate our own.

Ronaldo will become the oldest to score a goal in the world cup in 2030.

If Max Dowman of Arsenal represents his country, he will be the youngest to score In the world cup, same way he was the youngest player to lose a UCL final grin
I promise you he won’t feature

Watch out for

Curacao vs Germany
Brazil vs Haiti
Portugal vs Uzbekistan
Spain vs Capo Verde
France vs Iraq
Who told you France can beat Iraq talkless of beating them 10-1? Is it the same Iraq that just drew against Spain. Have you watched Cape Verde play at all? Yet you think Spain will trash them, Cape Verde that is yet to lose a single friendly and has been playing all top ranked teams in FIFA ranking.
You people still think football is played on paper, this WC will shock everybody and most of those teams you think will trash others will crash out in first round. Football has changed and there's no minnows anymore, he go shock you.

[quote author=Sunshine34 post=139644900]I believe all can be broken but that last one, number (6) cannot be broken. No nation can beat his opponent 10-1 again in any Fifa world cup.

That record could be broken as early as match day 5 of this edition. Look at the mismatches everywhere.

This Cape Verde wey you dey minimize like this because the country small pass Lagos go shock Spain.
Write it down somewhere.
All their players dey play for Spain and Portugal.
Super Eagles right now no fit see even draw for their hand.
Dem show Cameroon pepper for qualification.
Imagine topping your group with Libya, Angola and Cameroon.

Cape Verde is very good

I can bet my last naira. Spain can't score them more than 6
Those guys are good
They wallop Serbia of all team 3-0 last week

Brazil will beat Haiti but not up to that 10-1
Portugal can't beat Uzbekistan up to that. It just can't happen
As for France against Iraq, they can't do it aswell
Re: FIFA World Cup Records Yet To Be Broken by franvincoop: 6:44pm On Jun 07
Ghana go AFCON? But Dem dey WC.
So if I ask you now to choose between Super chickens qualifying for AFCON or WC, truthfully which would you choose?
WC wey Nigeria dey house inside 10 African slots na WC be that?
Na Super chicken we be, Dem don take that Eagle cook soup tey tey.
When last we go world cup?
U sure say Osimhen go ever play match for world cup?

Bro abeg bow for Cape Verde, e no easy.
A country of 500,000 people dey go WC meanwhile a country of 250 million no fit go.

So as italy don miss 3 world cup he mean say Cape Verde better pass them abi
And Cape Verde go even beat them if they ever met
Cape Verde and Ghana way dey go there to play 3 matches and come back home just like Ghana did in the last edition
Re: FIFA World Cup Records Yet To Be Broken by scoresight: 7:07pm On Jun 07
Good thread. A few that could realistically fall in 2026 with 48 teams and more matches:
• Most goals in a single tournament (the extra group + Round of 32 games add up).
• Miroslav Klose's all-time 16 WC goals — if someone like Mbappé or Kane goes on a run across a longer tournament, it's reachable over multiple editions.
• First African team in a final — Morocco got to the semis in 2022; the ceiling keeps rising.

The 48-team format basically guarantees some record volume stats get rewritten just from sheer number of matches. The prestige records (youngest scorer, fastest goal) are the hard ones.
Re: FIFA World Cup Records Yet To Be Broken by franvincoop: 7:10pm On Jun 07
Na Europe italy dey, Cape Verde and Nigeria dey na Africa, no dey shift goal post.
Yes, Dem go play 3 match come back and you will watch them do it.
The whole world go watch and listen to Cape Verde and Ghana national anthem but the part wey go pain u pass be say u no go hear dem sing Nigeria national anthem " on your mandate we shall stand" for 2026 WC.
Quarterfinal wey Ghana don reach for WC, Nigeria don ever reach am?
Cape Verde qualify direct as group winner, but Super chickens no fit top group even after them remove Xenophobia FC 3 points, dem still give us 2nd chance but las las na Ebola Congo infect Super chickens.
Infact eh, Nigeria national team na chickens Dem be, nothing Super about them.
Drowning in past glory
