God eldest the soul of President Yaradua. He took the fight to them on the mountain and eliminated all the bandits once. The unserious approach in addressing these crime by the subsequent government till date is just mind bugling.

I too refused to believe this because the writer did not tell us if any kidnaper was arrested or that the kidnappers abandoned the hostages and the military recovered them.. 360 is not a small number.
I think these soldiers be relocated to Oyo to repeat this success..

The government needs to stop handling insurgency,terrorism and kidnapping with kid gloves. Embark on a full scale war on banditry,terrorism and kidnapping. Authorise the summary execution for any subversive activity such as terrorism,banditry,insurgency and kidnapping through special anti terrorism tribunals.
The only good terrorist is a dead one!
Capital punishment to all terrorists,kidnappers and subversive elements immediately they are apprehended.

But have we thought it being a set up by the group to reintegrate their already brainwashed members into the society under the care of government.

I maybe a hardliner but understand my prism. Once an abductee has stayed more than two weeks with these guys, there is a reset that happens which makes them sympathetic to their course. Some may voluntary join them and the best way to execute more damage to the society is to stage a rescue operation by the government.

There is no debriefing that can salvage these people's mindset again.
