If you think a landlord and the others living in the house will allow you and 3 of your friends to live in a room, you can continue in your dreams. AbelAbdul: |

lanresz:AbelAbdul is one of those users who refuses to accept correction. The moment you point out an error or provide facts that contradict his claims, he starts calling people scammers and accusing you of discouraging others from coming to Canada. Instead of learning, he doubles down on misinformation. 🤡 Don't bother correcting him he knows it all. According to AbelAbdul 🤡, four people can live in a single room. The funny part is that he still doesn't know the difference between a shared room and a shared apartment.and will not take correction.. Just watch for his reply 😂😂😂 Instead of addressing the point, he will probably say I am forcing people to use agents, call me a scammer, say I am jobless in Canada, or claim I don't even live in Canada. Every time he's corrected, the discussion somehow becomes about me instead of the actual topic. 😂😂😂 |

Manitoba too. Things have really changed. Manitoba used to have one of the most friendly provincial nominee program. This partly explain why there are so many Nigerians in Winnipeg. Predator188: |

| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by amnotapervert(m): 6:53pm On Jun 08 |
lanresz:Stop sharing the news. AbelAbdul will say you are discouraging people from coming to Winnipeg, as if Winnipeg belongs to your father. 😂😂 Just wait for his reply. He will probably call me a "pained agent" because he didn't use an agent an agency that, according to him, I own. Up until today, I don't own any agency 🤣🤣🤣 |

AdetolaMary:do not write exam you do not need what school are you looking at and what program ? IELTS is good for getting admission, but in my opinion, it is not necessary. Most school in canada will waive English proficiency for Nigerians. All you need is to obtain an English proficiency letter from your school in Nigeria stating that your studies were conducted in English, that you were taught in English, and that all your exams were in English. Your school registry in Nigeria knows how to issue this letter...even at that for some schools once the admission office in Canada knows you are Nigeria they normally wave language requirement Your Canadian school will likely waive the IELTS requirement, but if you want to take it, you can. However, in my opinion, you do not need it |

amnotapervert:@AdetolaMary should go ahead in writimg the IELTS exam because its generally a requirement from 70% of Canadian Universities. Although english-standardised tests like ielts is usually waived (optional) for applicants from Commonwealth countries (Ghana, Nigeria , Uganda, Gambia etc ) but writing it and passing it will sprinboard your admission decision since many applicants will go with the waiver option and few candidates who submitted (regardless of the waiver) would be counted as the outstanding students. If however you are willing to go with the waiver option you can ask the registrar office at your alma mater (principal office in case of high sch student) to write out an english language proficiency letter for you . Note. Writing standardised tests , coming out with good results and submitting a copy along with your visa application is a point most study visa applicants are not aware of. |

Thank you so much for your advice. I think I will go with the option of writing the IELTS exam. Please, I would appreciate it if you could share any IELTS preparation materials or resources that may help me prepare ahead of the exam. Also, I would be grateful if you could recommend universities that offer funding opportunities for MSc students. I studied Computer Science in my undergraduate degree and graduated with a Second Class Upper (2:1). Thank you in advance for your help. |

AdetolaMary:For the ielts free resources Kindly look out for those experts on facebook and youtube respectively. They offer free resources as you can see yourself and here is their main links i could find. https://www.ieltsadvantage.com/ https://m.youtube.com/user/ieltsliz Regarding scholarships you have to personally combed the Candian Universities and specifically your department and pre-email them the summry of your academic standing may be you might find a department/professor who can offer you graduate assistant / fundings etc. US Universties are better off in this aspects because they have more Universities than Canada and each department offers international students fundings based on available grants. Send application inquiry to as many public research Universities in Canada as you can and try to display your scholar ability in your email. Some courses like Statistics, Pure Chemistry, etc offers more fundings than others therefore , you have to do the search yourself.
