Just for context...Of the 26 players named in the England squad for the world cup...15 players are black. This is never happened before.

Worst world cup loss,to lose such horribly at the time when Nigeria football was at it's peak is almost unbearable

Zimbabwe wey dey lose to Lesotho
When those mid table/decent african teams lose form most times those lowly rated minnows usually beat them….thats why sometimes even eswatini can shock burkina faso an afcon finalist…
compare our group to Tunisia group
Nigeria = Tunisia (Nigeria is better)
SA = Equitorial Guinea (SA is better)
Benin = Namibia (Benin is better)
Zimbabwe = Malawi (Zimbabwe is better)
Rwanda = Namibia (almost same strength)
Lesotho = Sao Tome(Lesotho is better and stronger minnow, not because we drew them…but go and check games against big teams you will see thet saotome always get drubbed, Lesotho is closing in on those teams above them now.

Tunisia was placed in easy group

Victor Moses scored Nigeria's last world cup goal.

Ahmed Musa scored 4/23 of our total goals at 6 world cups

Since 1998, our total goals tally at one tournament has dropped till 2018 when we scored 5. Any coincidence this had to do with the rise of 9s and the decline of 10s like Okocha?

We've also NEVER relied on control and possession. Just counter attacks and individual brilliance(Musa and Kalu Uche)

Each year, we keep getting different managers for the mundial but so far, it looks like we've never fixed what was broken despite all the blessings in personnel.

Alex Iwobi has been a large part of our creativity engine room since Rohr took us to 2018. That's almost a decade. While he's not like his uncle, we still seem to struggle when he's not on board.

As it stands, we aren't even serious about Iwobi replacement anywhere as even the cadet teams are dead unlike the female teams.

If it was going to take 5years to create one teen from the lab to be what we need, intentionality and rigour, we will solve this half problem we currently face.

Our midfield needs to rise again.

2 or 3 Midfielders that played in Nigeria in 2009 u17 have been in vogue until this year from other countries.

I think i respect managers that analyzed and saw this problem and took a different but efficient approach to this vacuum, JPES in particular. What he did that year was a temporary fix.

However, we can't continue like this. We need to grow our own Iniesta, Xavi, Busquet from the same level and watch them grow together and see at least 2/3 grad from u15 to u17 to u20 to u23 and senior team. We can kickstart such a project and yield immense results regardless of the bottlenecks that comes with it.

From 7 goals to 3 goal to 1 is shameful tally.

They want to imitate France and see if it would win them world cup.
If they succeed, say bye bye to all our English foreign born players good or bad

cant be having headache on someone else's behalf. The bosses in their FA are white, all their coaches are white and they are not under any obligation, threat or compulsion to pick the black players. Take out all the blacks and the guys that dont have any ancestry in england and you will see how awful their national team is. They've not won anything worthwhile since their world cup win in 1966 so they will accomodate anything to ensure they taste victory again. Their people took control of our continent uninvited in the 18th, 19th and 20th century. If our people take over their national team we have not done anything bad.

Hope you are not trying to justify Nigeria's failure to qualify in a group where SA is our strongest opponent who is to a large extent considered as our wife in football.

Not sure they will even win it this time unless they produce magic which is possible.

I'm fact we should advise our young footballers not to have anything to do with any woman for any reason romantically. Infact, if a woman says she likes them they should report her for sexual harassment so as to beat them to their game. They should stay clear of any woman.

What's even the point of your reply? So if I don't play, I don't have any right to wish my national team well?
Not supprise. Typical of gutter football fan. Always antagonistic and full of insults.

"We MUST win it. And every African team we jam must collect heavy beating from us next edition.

And I want us to jam at least two of these teams -- Morocco, DR Congo and South Africa -- on our way to the title. We have serious scores to settle with them."

How is above quoted text a wish? It's full of boasting. Anything can happen in a football match. There's no certainty that we will beat the aforementioned teams even if we parade the best squad.
