For me, This Game ended 3-1. That rebound was a pure goal.
We should recall Nwabali before it turns to another Enyeama story. When we say something here, some people thought we joke or we talk senseless.
I believe by now Chelle has known his final 11. Time for trials & error is over.
Bench: Ajayi, Okoye, Chukwueze, Onyedika, Bashiru(contributes NOTHING! & WEARS JERSEY No 10 for fancy).
Bench Simon, Onachu and Zaidu.

Is there any coach that hasn't lost a match before? I'm proud of the coach.

Meanwhile, I thought we lost to Egypt in the friendly before AFCON.
I really dont know why people keep hiding away from that result🤣🤣…im like why dem no dey count that loss too as a 90mins loss🤣🤣

If we are going to loose, it should be against a team like portugal or some great European or South American team. We were struggling against small teams before he took over
God bless you for that take

This is the fact you just stated.

Once na big game, e dey be like na our players dey respect the opponents especially if they adored them on tv. But that one no concern Francophonie. Lol. They go ball you to stupor.

The way we played England that year was good too. 2-1 as well. That 2-1 and this 2-1 big difference dey.
Which good? That we were all over the place and down 2 goals in the first place and might I add a shitty under the body gaffe by Uzoho?

I will say this was a great test. Shows we still have work to do fortifying this team.

Respectable score line but terrible performance

We need solutions for big games
I don’t think it was a terrible performance, if we had osimhen and lookman, we could have won, Iwobi was not even fit…

On this pitch, if we had our two guys, plus Azeez this match we win. It’s not a terrible performance at all, first half was almost even matched

A fair result against a world class team playing in front of their home fans.

Another friendly against Portugal and once again our so called Nigerian "technical crew/backroom staff" decided to "famz" the Portuguese players, especially Ronaldo. The last time it was Finidi getting annoyed with Moses Simon because of Bruno Fernandez's shirt. grin

We shouldn't be fooled by the score line. We were the luckier team. And it was a deserved victory for the Portuguese...

I hope Chelle gets his selection right in September. That Azeez is needed BADLY!

We were poor in the second half, first half yes we were trying to settle in but we should have done better after half time.

Again this match has exposed why we can’t win in the big and decisive games. Our players need to up the pressure in big moments only Bassey seems to have that big game mentality.

Wake up from your sleep. Nwaballi is. Club less. And get ready to switch off whenever SE is playing cos you will still see these players till next world cup. Or better still change nationality.

Mofi just misplacing passes anyhow
I just discovered something today about Moffi and Onuachu, they are not fighters,a defender fell down and still won a lose ball over Moffi.

We need pure beasts in our midfield this light touch can’t help us in big games and that’s an issue we need to fix asap

We did well. We did give away a lot of space though.

Portugal's attack are good at moving the ball quickly through space we did well most of the time to close down spaces also helped by the fact Ronaldo was pure rubbish today he was always in space but can't use the opportunities given to him.

The defense was mostly solid especially in the first half. Ajayi and bassey were just class today.

Our midfield did well especially the defensive half fatigue affected them later as the game progressed wish I saw more of iwobi.

The attack needed to do more osimhen and lookman were missed today Moffi did well but Portugal is above his pay grade.

That's the dilemma. Our best keeper is clubless and coaches don't fancy such. He should downgrade to Ikorodu United.

Thank God, we were not mauled!!! Surprised Bruno played CB, don't know why Fernandez wasn't thrown into the mix. I will blame Zaidu for that 2nd goal sha. And Bewene sort of looked better than Akpan in my opinion.
Between is far better than Akpan. That guy is another Frederick.

It was a good game . Okoye did very well. I was wondering when coach kept Otele for bench till 89min . Some players work very hard while some messed up counter attacks opportunities. By now the NFF should give the coach long term contract . He has tried he deserved a better contract .I would like to new faces like Azeez in the team . Moses Smon should not be a starter

Nnadi was exhausted today. Should not have played 80mins. He did great today but we really do need extra beast options in the middle.
💯 this is where facing the likes of civ, Senegal or Morocco will bite us in the face if we jam them in an Afcon semi final or final! We got to be more beastly in midfield
