An American rapper and entrepreneur, Rick Ross is setting the record straight after a viral video earlier this week showed him apparently keeping a low profile while waiting to board a commercial flight.

The footage quickly spread across social media, sparking speculation about why the luxury-loving hip-hop mogul was flying with everyday passengers instead of aboard his well-known private jet.

Ross addressed the situation directly, dismissing rumors that financial troubles played any role in his travel plans. According to the rapper, his private aircraft was undergoing a technology upgrade, including the installation of Starlink satellite internet service, making it unavailable for the trip.

"My jet was getting updated with Starlink," Ross explained, adding that the timing of the upgrade led him to book a commercial flight instead.

The trip reportedly took Ross to Colombia, where he joined fellow Florida rap veterans Trick Daddy and Ball Greezy for a night of partying at Escape. Despite the unexpected travel arrangement, Ross said the trip was a success and that he had an amazing time.
