Goke7:these guys dont know what they have started, especially Canada I expect morroco and other northern africa teams to use same tactics to bar key players of opposition teams when they are the hosting team Imagine Nigeria flying to Morroco or Libya, and the immigration authorities refuses to grant osimhen and lookman permission to enter their country citing one fabricated story |

Goke7:Did Carragher really say this? Also, Partey was not denied because of missing paperwork but rather because he has charges against him and is set to stand trial. According to Canadian law, you can be deemed inadmissible even without a foreign conviction. |

Canada and US only need to borrow a leaf from France and hunt dual nationalities. They could easily assemble a scary team in the next decade |

Im surprised they believe they can be likened to brazil with that their yeye ultra haram football pattern. Funny people mostob: |

I heard playing football is expensive for the teenagers there. It makes sense in a US capitalist context. Making their national team more migrant in nature isnt something i will advise for now. Canada is on that path now as they are now consistently making advances in international competitions Odunayaw: |

Odunayaw:It’s not really possible in the way France or England has it due to obvious reasons. Like where will they be hunted from? The only way something like that can happen is if young prospects are scouted globally for MLS clubs but there’s risk of them leaving for Europe before getting US citizenship. FIFA eligibility rules might also become an issue. |

kodded:This is what many don’t know, a bad precedent has been set. FIFA will only end up ruining its competitions. The off the pitch antics had just been emboldened. |

chrisooblog:I am over the moon. Ajayi gave me better than 9.8.. he went even lower. Lol Kayinsola Ajayi is gonna give Lyles, Seville & Kishane a genuine challenge starting with the Commonwealth games. Lyles & USA wont be there but Jamaica are always commonwealth games competitors. Ajayi.... 9.72s (+2.2m/s wind aided but who cares)... E vex me it wont be ratified as the new African record but there is much more to come. He is definitely touching 9.6 sooner than expected... he is obliterating Omanyala's 9.77 this year again. There is something about Eugene tracks. Amusan's WR in the women's 100mH was also in Eugene. Na wa. Sam Ogazi... extended the National record and world lead to 43.38s... The WR of 43.03 will be smashed by this lad soon. The fact that it is held by a South African makes me more sure Ogazi go take am. Israel Okon is a pearl... a warrior. 19.99s Silver with injury shows insane ceiling. He is also a 100m prospect. Strong lad. Again I say, with Israel and Ajayi... Nigeria gonna do big things at the 4x100m next Olympics. But firstly, let the commonwealth games come. We also got bronze in Discus at the NCAA thru Vincent Ugwoke. Naija Athletics is back... The men are indeed taking over. Amusan is not the only sure medal ticket anymore.

Meanwhile, I saw the USA do what they have never done in their entire WC history... Score 4 goals in one WC game and play the most breathtaking attacking transition football I have ever seen them play even better than Landon Donnovan's and Clint Dempsey's USA. The Dest-Freeman right flank duo is a master stroke by Poch. Two RBs but Poch recognises Dest's more attacking flow and Pulisic/Robinson combo on the left is as devastating as you'd expect given the quality of both lads. But then Paraguay (#41) is not exactly among your strong South American teams today so I would like to see how this USA hold up against a Top 30 team in the world and that will be revealed in their next games vs Australia (#27) and then Turkey (#22). USA are #17 in the world. I know rankings dont play football but they still tell us something about the strength of teams on display. In all, Great start for the US of A.... far more awesome than the eyesore opener between Mexico vs SA. |

Amedino99:Yes it is very expensive. You have to pay to join a team (good or bad) if the team travels a lot, the hotel bill and flights etc is on you. At a very competitive level, families would definitely spend more than $10K per year on a player, some even way more!!!! How many immigrant even omo onile sef fit afford that? |

If Folarin Balogun had become a Super Eagle, he would have been playing backup to Osimhen. Akor is also a bigger, stronger lad than he is so it would be a battle between him and Akor on who pairs Osimhen in Chelle's diamond system and Akor edges it for me. Same goes to Promise David of Canada. Tani Oluwaseyi of Canada wont make the Super Eagles side. |

Amedino99:True. Over here, even my then 10 year old nephew was asked to pay about $5,000/year to participate in local recreational soccer amongst his peers 🙆🏽♂️ So, definitely, football (soccer) is more of an upper middle class/upper class sport over here, due to the financial demands. |

If Brazil plays to their potential I think they will get past Morocco. An inferior Ecuadorian side (who I expect Ivory Coast to beat) gave the Atlas Lions a tough time so we'll see how it goes. But Hakimi got jokes "Morocco play like Brazil". ![]() mostob: |

Mujtahida:Nwabali is a fantastic goalkeeper and I have upheld him on this thread. Nwabali is very good, but the reality is that Nwabali has conceded even cheaper goals, and it is shocking how he was not called out for it. I really do not think positioning is his problem. The goals he conceded made it look like he has a problem with positioning. You should also consider the quality of players he faced and i am also certain that you won't blame the opposition goalkeeper and even Nwabali if they were the ones that conceded those kind of goals The area he needs to work on is his anticipation And it is a quality that can be worked on. He is already an elite goalkeeper |
