Nwabali is a fantastic goalkeeper and I have upheld him on this thread. Nwabali is very good, but the reality is that Nwabali has conceded even cheaper goals, and it is shocking how he was not called out for it.

I really do not think positioning is his problem.
The goals he conceded made it look like he has a problem with positioning.
You should also consider the quality of players he faced and i am also certain that you won't blame the opposition goalkeeper and even Nwabali if they were the ones that conceded those kind of goals

The area he needs to work on is his anticipation
And it is a quality that can be worked on. He is already an elite goalkeeper
It is anticipation that makes Nwabali position himself better than Okoye.
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by TheSuperNerd(m): 5:16pm On Jun 13
Emmanuel Okereke, 22 (CB) played all 90mins as his side VPS drew 1-1 vs KuPS in the Finnish Veikkausliiga.

Ogunniyi Oluwaseyi, 19 (RB) subbed in on 79mins for VPS and won a penalty. A penalty that was missed.

Clinton Jeptha, 19 (LW) played all 90 as Inter Turku played 0-0 vs AC Oulu. A clash between 1st and 2nd in the Finnish Topflight (Veikkausliiga).

You may have good positioning, but poor anticipation.
Anticipation is a trait that comes through attention conditioning, experience and a prior study of a player's preferences (a player's stronger foot, the use of feint shots etc)

They aren't even hustling for any national coaching jobs.

Rather, they are busy fighting to be brand ambassadors for betting companies

Football has been effectively split into 4 quarters like American sports with these commercials during water breaks.

The truth of the matter is that those hydration breaks were not done for player well-being. It was all a ruse to satisfy sponsors, especially Americans ones.

I wonder my brother.

Players have been taking fluids during the match at anytime they feel like, I wonder why they hv to create a special session for that.

Na their game sha.

It's all a way to introduce the American system of doing commercials via "hydration breaks " for their various brand endorsements like they do in the NFL. Since America are the major financiers of this tournament, the other Co-hosts allowed them do it their way.

But the Americans never did such when they hosted in 94.

What changed?

Switzerland is going to regret this rubbish display they played tonight. This nonchalant performance today against a very bad Qatari team will surely come back to bite them in the ass. Their manager's defensive and negative approach of playing a defensive midfielder, Zakaira, as a winger and playing defensive-minded midfielders Xhaka, Aebischer, and Freuler against one of the weakest teams in the tournament is a sackable offense. Their performance today was absolutely disgraceful and totally unacceptable.

Canada and Bosnia are going to beat this Qatari team silly, and Switzerland has completely complicated this tournament for themselves. Some of these coaches are simply unbelieveable. This motherfucker essentially implemented 4 defensive players who are not defenders to be on the field in a game against Qatar. Qatar, not France, Argentina, or Spain. Simply unbelievable.

Noticing less enthusiasm for the hate watch against morocco than what south africa faced. Probably Boils down to how they are perceived and the quality of thier squad. Morocco are regarded as d*ckheads for that afcon stunt but they have the potential to win so there is caution in betting against them while South Africa are xenophobes with no discerning quality in their squad so betting against them is safe

Being a good player and a good coach are not mutualy exclusive. They are different concepts as far football is concerned. Being a legend is not enough, do you possess the experience and capability to lead the country to glory? What are their coaching experience and success as coaches? Even the one we gave sef is part of the reason this thread is not analysing our best squad to prosecute a match in this world cup.
we sef deserve the best nau. Nobody should come and use our national teams to do IT. Apart from Argentina that gave maradona the coaching role for 2010 world cup ( we saw how that turned out), how many countries give out their coaching roles for ex players just based on legend status??

What if I tell you Switzerland intentionally sold that match to betting companies hoping to recover by thinking it'll be easy to defeat Canada and Bosnia

A lot of things here are not possible.

Switzerland will top Group B no matter what. 7points or full 9

Morocco will either come first or second. Brazil won’t defeat them. Either draw or Brazil loses.

You’re underrating Saudi Arabia.

Turkey 4th ke? Turkey is more likely to top group D than any other team in that group. US team have learnt how to press small but they’re very ordinary and concede easily.

Small loss now una don Dey underrate France. They’re leaving group I with nothing short of 9 points. Everybody go collect wotoporiously.
Your Switzerland has dropped points to Qatar.

grin

I don’t care who you support… same way you should not care who I hate

And you sound like a typical black man, that’s why you people are the most oppressed in the world.. it’s never your business until you are affected..

Sorry I don’t know anyone who knows anyone that was affected, but I don’t need to know them before I hate those who practice hate on others

All the best to whomever you support.. I don’t care!

I am wise enough to know that not every black man is my brother and not every white man is my enemy…

You will learn the hard way when you see those whom you call brothers dagger you from the back

Lawag3:
posted this on Twitter a few days before the worldcup so far it's looking like I was correct

GROUP A

Mexico

South Korea

Czechia

South Africa

Mexico is winning this group comfortably maybe one draw but they ain't losing a game.
South Africa will not win a single game.

GROUP B

Canada

Switzerland

Bosnian and hergovinia

Qatar

Canada is going to do well this world cup.
A lot of draws in this group.
Qatar will not win a game and they might not score a single goal Bosnian will be difficult.

GROUP C

Brazil

Scotland

Morocco

Haiti

This is going to be Brazil's best worldcup since 2006 although this group won't be easy.

Scotland are going to be very stubborn.

Morocco are going to disappoint in the group stage will finish one of the best third place teams though

Haiti will give a fight but will finish dead last might sneak in a surprise draw though.

GROUP D

USA

Australia

Paraguay

Türkiye

The US is barely going to top this group.
Australia will surprise a lot of people
Paraguay will do their best they will frustrate the US on their first game but will ultimately loss
This will be Türkiye's worst world cup.

GROUP E

Germany

Ivory Coast

Ecuador

Curacao

This group is pretty straight forward Germany is going to have a Good tournament the best since their world Cup win in 2014

Ivory coast will do well although second place would be determined by who beats Curacao by a lot of goals

Curacao will concede more than ten goals. Pray for Curacao

GROUP F

Netherlands

Japan

Sweden

Tunisia

Netherlands are going to reach at least quarter finals

Sweden is going to disappoint only reason they won't finish last is because of Tunisia would be worse it will be luck if they finish among the best third places.

GROUP G

Belgium

Iran

New Zealand

Egypt

Another draw fest group New Zealand will do very well in this group. Egypt will wait till the next edition to get their first worldcup win.

GROUP H

Spain

Uruguay

Cape Verde

Saudi Arabia

Another straight forward group. Only that Cape Verde will do better than most expected at least better than their fellow debutants.

Saudi won't win a game.

GROUP I

Senegal

Norway

France

Iraq.

This group will be chaotic. Iraq won't be an easy game France will struggle. This group won't have a lot of goals.

GROUP J

Argentina

Austria

Algeria

Jordan

Another low scoring group Argentina will struggle to score goals the most penalties will happen in this group expect robberies.

GROUP K

Portugal

Colombia

Congo Dr

Uzbekistan

Congo will frustrate top teams here Uzbekistan came for the experience because they are not going to achieve anything Portugal will have at least one penalty.

GROUP L

Croatia

England

Ghana

Panama

This group will be tight England will do well in the knock out stages but struggle in this group
Ghana will give a fight won't get pass the round of 16 though.

So that's it this world cup will be the best yet a lot of drama, some fandoms are going to cry .

Enjoy.
Although I knew a lot of draws will happen in this group I did not expect Qatar to draw Switzerland

Maybe Bosnia but Switzerland? Na I did not see this coming.

Una wey dey bet this prediction will turn out 95% correct. Na every four years this opportunity dey come take this one

You might probably be Yoruba

Just for you to know, Brazil is more Yoruba than Morocco..
Let me educate you a bit to save you from some identity ignorance

there’s a big Yoruba culture in Brazil and they practice full Yoruba culture and religion. Many of your people who were enslaved from west Africa are part of Brazil today…
Are you aware of that?

But the Morocco you think are your brothers because you share same continent with you will claim Arab first before ever identifying with your black azzzz

And they literally don’t recognize you as complete humans.. they were literally throwing bananas at your Nigerian goalie in the last afcon telling you that you are monkeys

See mr man, when you think you are smart, I just dey laugh you because you are one of the most ignorant Mr mature person I’ve come across on nairaland

You lack awareness

This Brazil vs Morocco game will be a tough one for both sides. I expect solid moroccan defensive discipline and their threats on the counter and I expext Ancelotti's Brazil to really dazzle and probe that Moroccan double wall.

Meanwhile... even Colombia collected NO from a player now playing for Mexico at this WC. 2026's WC opening goal scorer... Julian Quinones.
